Al Karpenter es una banda que proviene de la escena experimental de Bilbao, País Vasco, compuesta por Álvaro Matilla: voz, guitarra; Marta Sainz: bajo, voz; Enrique Zaccagnini: percusión, voz y Mattin: contrabajo, ordenador, voz.
En relación al trabajo musical de la banda, cuando fue entrevistada por loop (http://www.loop.cl/content/view/2307/26/) Mattin señala que: “Nuestra metodología es como un bricolaje sónico abierto, sin una idea predeterminada de qué es lo que estamos construyendo o haciendo. ¡Todos somos Karpenters del sonido!” Y en un intento por describir su música, podemos encontrar aproximaciones al noise, punk, psicodelia y post-industrial.
Después de tocar junto al dúo afincado en Francia, CIA Debutante, integrado por Nathan Roche en voz y guitarra y Paul Bonnet en electrónica, todxs se reúnen -el 3 de mayo de 2022- a grabar en el Abject Musik Studio de Mattin, en Berlín.
El sello norteamericano Siltbreeze Records describe a CIA Debutante como un cruce entre The Shadow Ring y Cabaret Voltaire. También agregaría que hay visos a Wolf Eyes. En cualquier caso, la actitud punk, las descargas eléctricas, el spoken-word, los golpes aleatorios y juegos vocales, las cajas de ritmo que revolotean por todo el lugar, las guitarras desafinadas, los cantos desafinados y los remolinos de líneas de sintetizadores, hacen de esta propuesta musical sea atemporal, impredecible, absolutamente libre y comprometida.

In relation to the band's musical work, when interviewed by loop (http://www.loop.cl/content/view/2307/26/) Mattin points out that: “Our methodology is like an open sonic bricolage without a predetermined idea of what is it that we are building or making. We are all Karpenters of sound!” And in an attempt to describe their music, we can find approaches to noise, punk, psychedelia and post-industrial.
After playing with the duo based in France, CIA Debutante, made up of Nathan Roche on vocals and guitar and Paul Bonnet on electronics, they all meet - on May 3, 2022 - to record at Mattin's Abject Musik Studio in Berlin.
American label Siltbreeze Records describes CIA Debutante as a cross between The Shadow Ring and Cabaret Voltaire. I would also add that there are hints of Wolf Eyes. In any case, the punk attitude, the electric shocks, spoken word, the random beats and vocal games, the drum machines that hover into the place, the out of tune guitars, as the out of tune singing, and the swirling synth lines, make of this musical proposal is timeless, unpredictable, absolutely free and committed.
