Nostalgie Éternelle lo componen Dieter Mauson y Inox Kapell (Stefan Heinze) provenientes de Leer, ciudad del noroeste de Alemania, que se formaron a mediados de los '80. Dieter Mauson también es conocido como Occupied Head y es la mitad de 7697 Miles, junto al músico chileno Cristóbal Rawlins (Raw C). Stefan Heinze también trabaja bajo el alias Kind Im Garten y en grupos como Biopuls, Die Milchstrasse Flockt, entre otros.

El libro que acompaña el disco de este dúo es absolutamente recomendable, pues cuenta la historia de este dúo, en el contexto de su formación a mediados de los ’80, cuando comenzaba el fructífero e interesante período del post-punk, la música industrial, el dark y más tarde la EBM, Cold Wave, Dark Wave, entre otras corrientes musicales. El libro cuenta con la colaboración de Stefan Knappe, dueño del destacado sello Drone Records y miembro fundador de Maeror Tri y Troum. Así también de Félix V. Díaz, propietario de Lux Atenea, blog que publica críticas culturales sobre discos, películas, series de televisión y libros. 

Nostalgie Éternelle tiene una docena de discos publicados en distintas casas discográficas independientes, así como en el magnífico sello Minus Habens Records y en su propia etiqueta One Last Dream. La historia de Nostalgie Éternelle es mucho más larga y que se recoge afortunadamente en el mencionado libro titulado con el nombre del grupo.

“Krummhörn” evoca a otras bandas alemanas como Der Plan, Suicide Commando, Die Krupps, DAF, entre otras, pertenecientes al movimiento musical Neue Deutsche Welle.

Este álbum cantado en alemán e inglés transita por varios estilos como el new wave de “New Orchestra” que abre el disco, así como se mueve por las turbias y oscuras aguas del industrial-pop como en “Sample World” con sus ruidos metálicos y retorcidas líneas de sintetizador y bombos saturados. “Alles ist zurück” con sus tonalidades melosas y batería programable se vincula con la synth-wave, así como “United Splinters” y “Wow Feeling”. “Echter Fortschritt” de carácter industrial me evoca a Throbbing Gristle. El electro pop de “I'm Nothing” y el post-punk de “Arty People” son buenos representantes de estos estilos musicales, así como el dark-wave lo hace con “Fragezeichen”

Nostalgie Éternelle is made up of Dieter Mauson and Inox Kapell (Stefan Heinze) hailing from Leer, a city in northwest Germany, who formed in the mid-'80s. Dieter Mauson is also known as Occupied Head and is one half of 7697 Miles, along side Chilean music artist Cristóbal Rawlins (Raw C). Stefan Heinze arbeitet auch unter dem Pseudonym Kind Im Garten und in Gruppen wie Biopuls, Die Milchstrasse Flockt, among other bands.

The book that accompanies this duo's album is absolutely recommendable, as it tells the story of this duo, in the context of their formation in the mid-'80s, when the fruitful and interesting period of post-punk, industrial music began and, later did the EBM, Cold Wave, Dark Wave, among other musical currents. The book features the collaboration of Stefan Knappe, owner of the legendary Drone Records label and founding member of Maeror Tri y Troum. Also collabs Félix V. Díaz, owner of Lux Atenea, a blog that publishes cultural criticism of records, movies, television series, and books.

Nostalgie Éternelle has a dozen records released on different independent record labels, as well as on the magnificent Italian Minus Habens Records label and, on their own One Last Dream label. The history of Nostalgie Éternelle is much longer and is fortunately collected in the aforementioned book entitled with the group’s name.

"Krummhörn" evokes other German bands such as Der Plan, Suicide Commando, Die Krupps, DAF, among others, belonging to the Neue Deutsche Welle musical movement.

This album sung in German and English goes through various styles such as new wave’s “New Orchestra” that opens the album, as well as “Sample World” that moves through the murky and dark waters of industrial-pop,  together with its clang noises and twisted synth lines and overdriven kick drums. “Alles ist zurück” with its mellow tones and drum machine is linked to synth-wave, as on “United Splinters” and “Wow Feeling”. “Echter Fortschritt” with an industrial character reminds me of Throbbing Gristle. The electro pop of “I'm Nothing” and the post-punk of “Arty People” are good representatives of these musical styles, just as the dark-wave does to “Fragezeichen”.
