El músico y productor electrónico gaditano David Cordero publica su segundo álbum este año a través del sello italiano Lontano Series. 

“Among Pale Trees” se muestra un disco menos pastoral donde los instrumentos acústicos – si los hay – se encuentran en un segundo plano, prevaleciendo el sonido electrónico más espacial y atmosférico, a través de líneas de teclados ambientales. “The Great Sadness” que abre el disco, se siente emotivo como si se estuviera describiendo un paisaje apastelado de tonos claros, con figuras estilizadas que observan la abundante naturaleza y la luz resplandeciente. En “Oma” la línea de sintetizador tiene atisbos al sonido de un órgano cuya presencia se revela por sus tonos graves. En tanto que “All Your Silences” despliega finas notas melódicas que recuerdan a la magnífica pieza “My Time Is Yours” del dúo Effective Force. En “Los Alcornocales” la atmósfera se torna inquietante quedando matizada con el armónico “Submerged Forest”. “Night Begins” cierra un álbum íntimo, expansivo que muestra una nueva faceta en la música del músico de Cádiz.

The electronic musician and producer David Cordero from Cádiz publishes his second album this year through the Italian label Lontano Series.

“Among Pale Trees” shows a less pastoral album where acoustic instruments – if there are any – are in the background, prevailing the more spatial and atmospheric electronic sound, through the ambient keyboards lines. “The Great Sadness” that opens the album, feels poignant as if a pastel landscape of light tones is being described, with stylized figures observing the abundant nature and resplendent light. On “Oma” the synthesizer line has glimpses of the sound of an organ whose presence is revealed by its low tones. While "All Your Silences" displays fine melodic notes reminiscent of the magnificent piece "My Time Is Yours" by the Effective Force duo. On “Los Alcornocales” the atmosphere becomes disturbing, being nuanced with the harmonic “Submerged Forest”. “Night Begins” closes an intimate, expansive album that shows a new facet in the music of the Cádiz based musician.
