Sagat es un productor y DJ de Bass/Techno de Bruselas y co-fundador de la banda/sello Bepotel Records. Ha publicado en los sellos bruselenses Bepotel, Vlek, BXL Records y Meakusma.

En la música de Sagat predominan los ritmos y los bajos (bombos y sub-bajos) junto a los beats 4x4 del techno, pero por otra parte, coexisten los ritmos desordenados que rompen con la cadencia de la música de baile. Es una peculiar combinación de música de baile con potentes y crudas líneas de bajo, además de un diseño sonoro cubierto de texturas electrónicas abstractas, acompañadas con frases melódicas que por un lado son edificantes y por el otro sombrías, creando atmósferas hipnóticas idóneas para la pista de baile. “Here” que abre el álbum muestra las oblicuas líneas de sintetizador que luego van tomando una forma angulosa en “Silver Lining”, creando un ambiente ciertamente armónico que toma vuelo en “Low Blood” con su beat solapado con ráfagas de cuerdas sintetizadas como si fueran una orquesta. “Way Down” destaca por su sutil groove que encaja bien tanto en la pista de baile como fuera de ella. Mientras que “Chroma” muestra otra faceta de este disco que es la combinación lúdica de percusiones tribales, con golpes secos que evocan la música africana. El beat consistente y repetitivo de “Rest” recuerda al techno minimalista de Plastikman sumándole un aire melodramático. En tanto “Levels” es una madeja de sonidos repetitivos que se mezclan con tonalidades orientales que van decantando en “Corner”. “Such” es el preámbulo ruidoso para que “The Other Left” muestre su potencial rítmico con el 4x4.

La música de Sagat es un equilibrio entre la dimensión polirítmica y los paisajes sonoros de ensueño levemente abstractos.

Sagat is a Bass/Techno producer and DJ from Brussels and co-founder of the band/label Bepotel Records. He has released on the Brussels labels Bepotel, Vlek, BXL Records and Meakusma.

In Sagat's music, rhythms and bass predominate (kick drums and sub-bass) along with the 4x4 Techno beats, but from the other side, off-kilter rhythms that break with the dance music cadence. It is a particular combination of dance music with powerful and raw bass lines, as well as a sound design covered in abstract electronic textures, accompanied by melodic phrases that are on the one hand uplifting, and on the other, somber, creating a groovy atmosphere suitable for the dance floor. 

There are oblique synth lines in the opener “Here” that later take on an angular shape on “Silver Lining”, creating a truly harmonic environment that takes flight on “Low Blood” with its overlapping beat along with string synth in the likes of an orchestra. “Way Down” stands out for its subtle groove that fits well both in the dance floor as out there. While “Chroma” shows another facet of this album, which is the playful combination of tribal percussion, with thuds evoking African music. The consistent and repetitive beat of “Rest” is reminiscent of Plastikman's minimal techno, adding a melodramatic air to it. “Levels” is a skein of repetitive sounds that are mixed with oriental tones that are decanting on "Corner". “Such” is the noisy preamble for “The Other Left” to show its rhythmic potential with the 4x4 beats. 

Sagat's music is a balance between the polirhythmic dimension and hazily abstract dreamy soundscapes.
