En 2011, Laura Mariposa Williams (voz, teclado, guitarra) y Eric Angelo Bessel (percusión, teclado, guitarra) afincados en Portland, Oregon, forman el dúo de art-rock Lore City, editando hasta hora siete discos en los sellos, Already Dead, 1980 Records y en su propia etiqueta Lore City Music.

Previo al lanzamiento de “Visitation”, álbum debut en solitario del artista visual y músico Eric Angelo Bessel, se publica “Secret Lake”, sencillo que anticipa el carácter ambiental del nuevo disco con inflexiones hacia la música de películas.

“Visitation” consiste en ocho tracks que abre con “Sunken Prism”, una pieza que flota entre las nubes de algodón a través de líneas de sintetizadores. La mirada queda detenida en el tiempo para admirar los colores rojizos y púrpuras del cielo cuando ya cae el sol. “A Tap on the Shoulder” con sus coros celestiales permite observar desde la atalaya que todo está bien, no hay nada que cambiar. El paisaje se pone bello cuando emerge “Hoax” con sus melodías edificantes que parecen interminables, mientras que en “It's So Far Away” gira un loop como un espiral que irradia luz. “Less Red” con su carácter etéreo y su aire ceremonial dan paso a “Highest Invoking”, una pieza penetrante e inmersiva que invita a un viaje sin retorno que continúa su periplo en “Kindly Rewind”, último track de un disco evocador de atmósferas ensoñadoras en base a guitarras con efectos ebow y notas sintéticas ambientales.

In 2011 Laura Mariposa Williams (vocals, keyboard, guitar) and Eric Angelo Bessel (percussion, keyboard, guitar) based in Portland, Oregon, formed the art-rock duo Lore City, releasing seven albums so far on the labels, Already Dead, 1980 Records and on their own Lore City Music imprint.

Prior to the release of "Visitation", the debut solo album by visual artist and musician Eric Angelo Bessel, was released the "Secret Lake" single, that anticipates the ambient vein of the new album with inflections towards  music for films.

“Visitation” consists of eight tracks that opens with “Sunken Prism”, a piece that floats among the cotton clouds through synth lines. The gaze is stopped in time to admire the reddish and purple colors of the sky when the sun goes down. “A Tap on the Shoulder” with its heavenly choirs allows to observe from the vantage point that everything is fine, there is nothing to change. The landscape turns beautiful as “Hoax” emerges with its uplifting melodies that seem to go on forever, while “It's So Far Away” spins a loop like a spiral that radiates light. "Less Red" with its ethereal character and its ceremonial air give way to "Highest Invoking", a penetrating and immersive piece that invites the listener to a journey of no return that continues on "Kindly Rewind", the last track on an album that conjure dreamy atmospheres based on ebowed guitars and ambient synthetic notes.
