David Cordero es un multi-instrumentista, compositor y productor de Cádiz que lanza a través de su página de Bandcamp, su última entrega con 11 canciones elaboradas con exquisita sutileza combinando instrumentos acústicos con dispositivos electrónicos. 

Este año ha sido fecundo el trabajo compositivo de David, luego de sus álbumes “Winter Landscape” (Archives, 2022), "And Stillness Came" (Polar Seas, 2022), con Kenji Kihara (Komorebi, Home Normal, 2022) y junto a Miguel Otero en "A Possible Distance" (Dronarivm, 2022). 

Este álbum arranca con “La Orilla Salvaje” cuyas nubes de sonido son chillidos de gaviotas (las que también veo al pasar frente a mi ventana) y líneas ambientales. “Luminiscencia” parece que fuera la continuación de la anterior canción porque asoman también bellas notas sintetizadas, como si fueran las cuerdas de un arpa/guitarra que se desenvuelven con total soltura. En el trasfondo de “El Bosque” hay corrientes de agua que fluyen lentamente, bajo un tintineo como si fueran campanillas. “Otoño” muestra una apertura tímida con la quiere anunciar que la naturaleza se desprende de sus viejas capas para volver a renovarse. En “Lento” asoman los colchones ambient en los cuales nos podemos acomodar para soltarnos y desprendernos de aquello que no nos sirve. El “Arrebol” surca el cielo y el canto de los pájaros rima con las delicadas notas, en tanto que “Recuerdos Inefables” parece una caja de música que se desarrolla como una fábula de niños, tan frágil como inocente. Y para terminar, “El Esperado Desenlace” es una canción bañada por las olas del mar que David bien sabe como adornarlas.

David Cordero is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Cádiz who is launching his latest installment through his Bandcamp page with 11 songs, crafted with exquisite subtlety combining acoustic instruments with electronic devices.

This year has been fruitful in David's compositional work, after his albums "Winter Landscape" (Archives, 2022), "And Stillness Came" (Polar Seas, 2022), with Kenji Kihara (Komorebi, Home Normal, 2022) and together with Miguel Otero in "A Possible Distance" (Dronarivm, 2022).

This album starts with "La Orilla Salvaje" whose clouds of sound are the cries of seagulls (the ones I also see passing by my window) and ambient lines. “Luminiscencia” seems to be the continuation of the previous song because beautiful synthesized notes also appear, as if they were the strings of a harp/guitar that unfold with total ease. In the background of "El Bosque" there are streams of water that flow slowly, under a tinkle as if they were bells.

"Otoño" shows a timid opening with which it wants to announce that nature sheds its old layers to renew itself. In "Lento" the ambient mattresses appear in which we can accommodate ourselves to let go and get rid of what is of no use to us. “Arrebol” crosses the sky and the bird chirp rhymes with the delicate notes, while “Recuerdos Inefables” sound like a music box that unfolds like a children's fable, both fragile as innocent. And finally, “El Esperado Desenlace” is a song washed by the sea waves that David knows how to embellish them.
