El sello Jazz-o-Tech con base entre Berlín and Milán, ha lanzado varios EP’s y LP’s que han tenido una buena respuesta de la crítica y en tal sentido es que le ha pedido a músicos de jazz y productores de techno, expresaran libremente su visión de lo que debería ser el techno-jazz.

El compilatorio "This is Techno Jazz vol 2" reúne a catorce artistas que, a partir de la fusión de la electrónica y los elementos polirítmicos del jazz, trompeta y piano, se funden con los beats y líneas sintetizadas.

La apertura a este doble LP lo hace AKi Himanen, Aleksi Kinnunen con “Valediction” junto a unas hipnóticas líneas ambientales, solapados beats y una trompeta aérea. Reeko, Katharina Ernst y Leonie realizan una interesante mezcla con los beats y los ritmos percusivos de la batería y el sintetizador de bordes oscuros en “Snake Spirit”. Flat Maze irrumpe con una mezcla de techno-house con estribillos de piano jazzy. Mattia Prete, Daniel Calvi y Leonie tienen una aproximación más rock que al techno-jazz, especialmente por los acordes en el bajo. Stanislav Tolkachev ft Aki Himanen, Aleksi Kinnunen y su diálogo abstracto con los sintetizadores, decididamente tienen influencia techno que bien se mezcla con los golpes aleatorios a la batería. En “Rebirth” Bodek Janke & Studnitzky se mezclan tablas con pulsaciones rítmicas, mientras se escuchan los balbuceos de una trompeta en un clima más tranquilo. Dinamite y Flat Maze con “Petardo Boy, remezclado por Dinamite, muestra un esquizofrénico beat junto a deslizantes sonidos de trompeta. “Deutet” de Morgen Wurde & Tis feat. Tetsuroh Konishi se editó en 2021, también por Jazz-o-Tech. Este track propone un techno beat trepidante junto a la maravillosa trompeta jazzy de Konishi e intervenciones inquietantes del piano, como si se tratara de anunciar alguna escena de terror. “piano movimento2” de Key Clef y Luigi Ranghino cierra este compilatorio con nubes de sonido de líneas ambientales especialmente cautivadoras por la acogedora atmósfera. 

Jazz-o-Tech propone con este compilado propone un nuevo lenguaje aportado por la mirada de músicos que desarrollan estilos distintos y que no dejan de ser complementarios, donde se produce una simbiosis entre los sonidos electrónicos y acústicos.

The Berlin and Milan based Jazz-o-Tech label has released several EP's and LP's which have been critically acclaimed and in this sense it has asked jazz musicians and techno producers to freely express their vision of what techno-jazz should be.

The compilation "This is Techno Jazz vol 2" brings together fourteen artists who, from the fusion of electronics and the polyrhythmic elements of jazz, trumpet and piano, blend with beats and synthesized lines.

The opening to this double LP is done by AKi Himanen, Aleksi Kinnunen with “Valediction” along with some hypnotic ambient lines, overlapping beats and an aerial trumpet. Interesting is Reeko, Katharina Ernst and Leonie’s beats with the drum’s percussive rhythms and the dark-edged synth on “Snake Spirit” mix. Flat Maze bursts in with a mix of techno-house with jazzy piano refrains. Mattia Prete, Daniel Calvi and Leonie have a more rock approach than techno-jazz, especially because of the bass chords. Stanislav Tolkachev ft Aki Himanen, Aleksi Kinnunen and their abstract dialogue with the synths have a decidedly techno influence that blends well with random drum beats. In “Rebirth” Bodek Janke & Studnitzky tablas are mixed with rhythmic pulsations, while the trumpet babbling sounds in a calmer climate. Dinamite and Flat Maze with “Firecracker Boy, remixed by Dinamite, showcases a schizophrenic beat alongside gliding trumpet sounds. “Deutet” by Morgen Wurde & Tis feat. Tetsuroh Konishi was released in 2021, also by Jazz-o-Tech. This track proposes a fast-paced techno beat along with Konishi's wonderful jazzy trumpet and eerie piano interventions, as if it were announcing some horror scene. Rounding off this compilation with “piano movimento2” by Key Clef and Luigi Ranghino create clouds of sound with ambient lines that are especially captivating due to the cozy atmosphere.

Jazz-o-Tech proposes with this compilation a new language provided by the gaze of musicians who develop different styles and which are still complementary, creating a symbiosis between electronic and acoustic sounds is produced.
