El español Francisco López y el norteamericano Daniel Menche son dos experimentados artistas de la música experimental y post-industrial, quienes trabajan con grabaciones de campo, drones, paisajes sonoros, diseño sonoro y dispositivos electrónicos analógicos. Ambos tienen una larga discografía que abarca más de 30 años de grabaciones y colaboraciones con los más connotados músicos de la escena experimental. López investiga la escucha profunda y el medioambiente como materia sonora, en tanto Menche utiliza tanto el ruido como las atmósferas plácidas, además de introducir el videoarte para sus presentaciones en vivo.

"SYM" es una serie editada en CD por el legendario sello alemán Drone Records con casi 30 años de trayectoria. "SYM" se puede vincular a los distintos modos de percepción y comprensión del sonido (simetrización, simbiosis, simbolización).

"Sacrificed Phloem (Zannec Line)" que abarca entre 2001 y 2021, donde todo el material sonoro original en bruto fue creado por Menche y evolucionado, compuesto, mezclado y masterizado por López. Este disco fue editado en 2021 por el sello irlandés Two-Headed Snake y reeditado por Drone Records este año. "Sacrificed Phloem...” es un solo track de 56 minutos aprox. Que comienza con un suave silbido atmosférico que se mantiene como un drone compuesto de varias capas de sonidos analógicos abrasivos de bordes oscuros que, hacia el final del track, los sonidos se retuercen de tal manera que cambian su forma e intensidad, para luego adentrarse en la profundidad de un túnel en el que se encuentran silbidos etéreos que surcan por el espacio.

López y Menche realizan un trabajo intimista, de un calado profundo y sonoridades abstractas aunque arropadas de una atmósferas acogedora para una escucha sin prejuicios.

Spanish Francisco López and American Daniel Menche are two experienced artists of experimental / post-industrial music, who work with field recordings, drones, soundscapes, sound design and analog electronic devices. Both have a long discography that span over 30 years of recordings and collaborations with the most renowned musicians on the experimental scene. López research profound listening and the environment as sound material, while Menche both uses noise and calm atmospheres, as well as introducing video art for his live performances.

"SYM" is a series released on CD by the legendary German label Drone Records with almost 30 years of existence. "SYM" can be related to the different modes of perception and understanding of sound (symmetrization, symbiosis, symbolization).

"Sacrificed Phloem (Zannec Line)" spans from 2001 to 2021 where all raw original sound material was created by Menche and evolved, composed, mixed and mastered by López. This album was released in 2021 by the Irish Two-Headed Snake imprint and reissued by Drone Records this year. "Sacrificed Phloem..." is a single track of approx 56 minutes. It begins with a soft atmospheric hoosh that lingers like a drone made up of several layers of dark-edged abrasive analog sounds that, towards the end of the track, the sounds are twisted in such a way that change their shape and intensity, before pushing out into the depth of a tunnel where ethereal hooshes that pierce through space.

López and Menche carry out an intimate work, with a deep depth and abstract sounds, although wrapped in a cozy atmosphere for listening without prejudice.
