David Cordero es un músico multi-instrumentista, compositor y productor de Cádiz, quien este año ha sido prolífico en sus entregas con "And Stillness Came" (Polar Seas) y “Winter Landscape” para el sello Archives.

Kenji Kihara es un músico y artista sonoro japonés con más de 30 lanzamientos en distintos sellos independientes.

Cordero y Kihara se conocieron en Tokio en 2018 y partir de entonces han mantenido contacto, lo que se concreta con la proposición del primero de grabar un disco juntos, el que se publica en el fino sello Home Normal que dirige el músico Ian Hawgood.

La bella fotografía de Hitoshi Ishihara que sirve de portada para “Komorebi", muestra un parque en la primavera nipona con sus preciosos cerezos en flor, el marco preciso para la música ambient que desarrollan ambos músicos. Las líneas ambientales de David son el telón de fondo para las notas de un piano de juguete y xilófonos (aparentemente) y otros instrumentos, despliegan los timbres destelleantes de Kenji. Pura luminosidad es la que rodea la atmósfera de este disco, brillos que sobresalen de los blancos cerezos que se reflejan en el pequeño lago de dicho parque.  

En “Komorebi” se reunieron dos músicos de gran sensibilidad y maestría para desarrollar pasajes melódicos que estremecen por su delicada música.

David Cordero is a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer and producer from Cádiz. This year he has been prolific in his installments with "And Stillness Came" (Polar Seas) and “Winter Landscape” for the Archives label.

Kenji Kihara is a Japanese musician and sound artist with more than 30 releases on different independent labels.

Cordero and Kihara met in Tokyo in 2018 and since then they have been in touch that materializes with the former's proposal to record an album together.

The beautiful photograph by Hitoshi Ishihara that serves as the art-cover for “Komorebi," shows a park in Japanese Spring season with its beautiful cherry blossoms trees, which is the precise setting for the ambient music developed by both musicians. David's ambient lines are the backdrop for the notes of a toy piano and xylophones (apparently) and other instruments display Kenji's flashing timbres. Pure luminosity is what surrounds the ambience of this album, brightness that stands out from those white cherry blossoms that is reflected in the small lake of this park.

In “Komorebi” two musicians of great sensitivity and mastery came together to develop melodic passages that move for their delicate music.
