Marc Richter es un músico radicado en Hamburgo, conocido el seudónimo de Black To Comm. Sus discos han sido publicados por Thrill Jockey, Type Recordings y en su propio sello Dekorder. Compone bandas sonoras para películas y crea instalaciones acusmáticas multicanal para instituciones como INA GRM (Institut National Audiovisuel, Groupe de Recherches Musicales) en París y ZKM en Karlsruhe, Alemania. También graba como Jemh Circs y Mouchoir Étanche para su nuevo sello Cellule 75.

Este álbum presenta dos obras multicanal grabadas en el legendario INA GRM Studio en París y el ZKM Institute en Karlsruhe, Alemania y se basa en el libro “Der Parasit” del filósofo francés Michel Serres (plantea que el parásito es la función que cumplen muchas personas en el entorno próximo y también en el contexto general que toman y no dan nada). 

La música de Richter gira en torno a la acusmática y música concreta y en este disco utiliza la síntesis de voz, ya sean voces individuales, como coros de voces humanas sintéticas que son procesadas de tal manera que llegan a deconstruirse y vuelven a tomar formas especialmente complejas. Lo anterior, dado que hay un proceso de transformación y distorsión de sonidos, instrumentos, voces y respiración concretos. En esta densa colección de electrónica, asoma un estribillo de piano que sorprende ante la ambientación de ruido. Richter mantiene la tensión como hilo conductor dado que la deconstrucción sonora sorprenden por sus abstractas formas que adoptó.

Marc Richter is a musician based in Hamburg known under the moniker of Black To Comm. His records have been released by Thrill Jockey, Type Recordings and on his own Dekorder label. He composes soundtracks for films and creates multichannel acousmatic installations for institutions such as INA GRM (Institut National Audiovisuel, Groupe de Recherches Musicales) in Paris and ZKM in Karlsruhe, Germany. He also records as Jemh Circs and Mouchoir Étanche for his new label Cellule 75.

This album features two multi-channel works recorded at the legendary INA GRM Studio in Paris and the ZKM Institute in Karlsruhe, Germany, which is based on the book “Der Parasit” by French philosopher Michel Serres (he argues that the parasite is the function many people in the immediate environment and also in the general context that they take and give nothing).

Richter's music revolves around acousmatics and concrète music and on this album he uses speech synthesis, whether they are individual voices or choirs of synthetic human voices that are processed in such a way, that are deconstructed and take especially complex forms. Since there is a process of transformation and distortion of specific sounds, instruments, voices and breathing. In this dense collection of electronics, piano refrains strike in contrast with the background noise. Richter maintains the tension as a common thread since sound deconstruction feels stunning with its abstract forms adopted.
