Un nuevo lanzamiento de The Helen Scarsdale Agency, sello prominente del underground con base en California. Bajo su alero del post industrial, noise, drone y experimental, se encuentran Steven Stapleton (Nurse With Wound), BJ Nilsen & Stilluppsteypa, Ekin Fil, Fossil Aerosol Mining Project, Francisco Meirino, entre otros artistas.

En esta oportunidad esta etiqueta presenta el último trabajo de Kleistwahr, proyecto en solitario de Gary Mundy, renombrado músico de power electronics y noise-rock, quien también es miembro fundador de Ramleh, junto con dirigir el connotado sello Broken Flag.

“Winter” consiste en dos largos tracks que comienzan con “We Sense It Through the Even Snow / Rust Eats the Future”, una pieza en la que se aprecia un órgano expansivo, espirales de sintetizadores y drones. Comienzan también a emerger ráfagas de guitarra que se acercan al ruido, junto a notas disonantes que derivan a una música lúgubre. “The Solstice Will Not Save Us / Everything We Loved Is Gone” reúne guitarras distorsionadas, voces perdidas entre el caos sonoro que construye una masa aplastante que se va diluyendo hacia la mitad del track en un loop de golpes a objetos y efectos de guitarra.

Kleistwahr trabaja en los límites del ruido cuyas esquirlas chirriantes producen paredes de sonido perturbadoras que penetran en la escucha del oyente.

The prominent California-based underground label The Helen Scarsdale Agency, came out with a new release. Under its auspices of post-industrial, noise, drone and experimental, the roster includes Steven Stapleton (Nurse With Wound), BJ Nilsen & Stilluppsteypa, Ekin Fil, Fossil Aerosol Mining Project, Francisco Meirino, among other artists.

This time the label features the latest work by Kleistwahr, a solo project by Gary Mundy, renowned musician of power electronics and noise-rock, also is a founding member of Ramleh, and runs the renowned Broken Flag imprint.

“Winter” consists of two long tracks that begin with “We Sense It Through the Even Snow / Rust Eats the Future”, a piece featuring an expansive organ, synth spirals, and drones. While the guitar bursts also start to emerge that approach to noise, along with dissonant notes that drift to a gloomy music. "The Solstice Will Not Save Us / Everything We Loved Is Gone" brings together distorted guitars, lost voices in the sonic chaos that builds an overwhelming mass that dissolves towards the middle of the track in a loop of hits to objects and guitar effects.

Kleistwahr works at the limits of noise whose screeching chips produce disturbing walls of sound that penetrate in the listener's listening.
