DIKDӔDØR | "Looking At Things" | Edelfaul Recordings | 2021

DIKDӔDØR | "Looking At Things" | Edelfaul Recordings | 2021

DIKDӔ

DIKDӔDØR is made up of Han Kuwiz (X.A.Cute, 12dingo) and Sun Ra Bullock (Stumpf, Atomvulkan Britz), both based in Berlin.

The album was conceived during April 2020 during the first lockdown in the German Capital.

On “Looking At Things” we have an interesting dialogue between noise, drones, pedal effects, analog synthesizers and other electronic devices. The dark ambience reflects well the moment these two artists were living, but at the same time they were nurtured by this annoying and suffocating environment and “Sarin Dreams” represents very well this creative moment that takes place in a slow space of time with their dub beats and distorted guitar delays, and pluckings that meander around us. "Iron Lung" emerges with soft keyboards that relax the tension that has been created until now. "Mass Electrocution" is the generation of noise that explodes in a convulsive environment and perhaps necessary at this point in the album.

This delivery is penetrating and invites us to an introspective journey and to reflect on the moment we are living in. Perhaps there are more questions that are open to us than the answers that we may have.
