Fatwires es el seudónimo de John Eckhardt quien 20 años de carrera musical en la que ha explorado las posibilidades sonoras del bajo. También se desenvuelve en otras formas de arte como son la fotografía, instalaciones y trabajos audiovisuales. Esto último se evidencia en los videos que acompañan a “The Wicked Path”, un disco intenso, plagado de sesiones rítmicas, en las que exudan el dub, el soul, el funk y el drum’n’bass.

El bajo punzante y electrizante en "Boreal Riddim" es uno de los tracks más hiperactivos que se combinan con otras piezas que despliegan paisajes sonoros oscuros como en "Foundation Haze".

Eckhardt conoce bien las posibilidades de las técnicas de grabación y por supuesto la maestría que tiene con el bajo, además de su interés por las pulsaciones rítmicas y la generación de atmósferas inquietantes, hacen de este músico un artista multifacético y creativo.

The latter is evident in the videos that accompany “The Wicked Path”, an intense album, full of rhythmic sessions that exude dub, soul, funk and drum’n’bass.

The punchy and electrifying bass on "Boreal Riddim" is one of the most hyperactive tracks, together with "Cambium", to be combined with other pieces that display dark soundscapes like on "Foundation Haze."

Eckhardt knows well the possibilities of recording techniques and of course his skills playing bass, as well as his interest in driving rhythms and the generation of haunting atmospheres, make this musician a multifaceted and creative artist.
