Vanity Productions es el Proyecto en solitario de Christian Stadsgaard, quien junto a Loke Rahbek gestionan Posh Isolation, uno de los sellos más interesantes de la escena nórdica. Ambos tienen el proyecto en común Damien Dubrovnik.

“But All Spiked” es el octavo disco de Stadsgaard y contiene cinco piezas que flotan en un ambiente minimalista que tienen una línea argumental que varía sutilmente que rozan con la nostalgia y la melancolía. Todo ello en un marco impresionista muy bello con tonos pasteles, de los que a veces brotan algunos destellos y en otras ocasiones con matices más oscuros.

Las sesiones de cuerdas omnipresentes le dan un halo de sobriedad a este álbum que conmueve por su pulcritud y bellas líneas melódicas.

La pieza “But All Spiked” se acompaña de un video de un bailarín que con sus movimientos alados y cuidadosos interpreta la épica de la música austera y sombría con tintes wagnerianos.

Este disco es una pieza clásica de estos tiempos con la que Stadsgaard visualiza la incertidumbre y también la esperanza.

Vanity Productions is the solo project of Christian Stadsgaard, who alongwith Loke Rahbek run Posh Isolation, one of the most interesting labels on the Nordic scene. Both have in common the Damien Dubrovnik project.

"But All Spiked" is Stadsgaard's eighth album and contains five pieces that float in a minimalist environment that have a subtly varying plot line that borders on nostalgia and melancholy. All this in a drifting impressionist setting with pastel tones, from which some sparkles sometimes and at other times darker shades come out.

The ubiquitous string sessions lend an aura of sobriety to this album that moves with its neatness and beautiful melodic lines.

The piece "But All Spiked" is accompanied by a video of a dancer who with his winged and careful movements interprets the epic of austere and somber music with Wagnerian overtones.

This album is a classic piece of these times with which Stadsgaard visualizes uncertainty and also hope.
