Este es el cuarto álbum de drøne que lo componen el músico electrónico Mark Van Hoen aka Locust y Mike Harding, conferencista, autor y editor, curador/productor desde 1982 en el sello Touch.
Sumergirse en el mundo de drøne es encontrarnos con los sonidos de la estática, voces de radio, grabaciones de campo, el sintetizador modular y objetos encontrados. Junto a ello hay artistas invitados en guitarra, cuerdas y voces.
“The Stilling” configura un paisaje sonoro abstracto y evocador con registros de campo y grabaciones realizadas en Berlín, Cavenham, Chicago, el castillo Knepp Castle en el Reino Unido, Lanzarote, Londres, Los Angeles, Rishikesh, Santa Mónica, Seattle y Tokyo, entre otros lugares.
La irrupción de las cuerdas, el fantasmal órgano eléctrico de Mark Van Hoen y el sonido ambiente, hacen de este disco una experiencia inquietante.

This is drøne’s fourth album whose members are electronic musician Mark Van Hoen aka Locust and Mike Harding, lecturer, author and editor, curator/producer since 1982 on Touch label.
To be immerse in drøne’s world is to encounter the sounds of static, radio voices, field recordings, modular synthesizer and found objects, all of which shape an abstract and evocative soundscape. Along with guest artists on guitar, strings and vocals.
“The Stilling” sets up an abstract and evocative soundscape with field and radio recordings from Berlin, Cavenham, Chicago, Knepp Castle (UK), Lanzarote, London, Los Angeles, Rishikesh, Santa Monica, Seattle and Tokyo, among other places.
