En 2017, reseñé el álbum “Seep” de los españoles David Cordero y David Romero aka dot tape dot, editado en el sello japonés Plop. “Seep” exudaba bellas melodías ambientales y microscópicas notas.
“Hacia la Luz” continua la senda de “Seep”, pero esta vez con el peso de la melancolía que envuelve todo el álbum. Es que fue compuesto a partir de junio de 2018, cuando que le dieron a la madre de David Cordero tres meses más de vida, después de luchar 17 años contra un cáncer. A las tres de la mañana de un 25 de agosto de 2018, David dejó de componer.
El artista argentino Federico Durand realiza una remezcla del primer tema “El Eterno Atardecer”, con el nombre de “Un pequeño patio donde se pone el sol”. En ésta, las pequeñas notas de un piano (de juguete, quizás) van tintineando por el espacio como si fueran parte de un sueño.
The Sight Below realiza una remezcla al segundo tema, “Sevredol”, la que junto a los teclados ambientales, emerge y persevera un minimal techno que después de unos minutos se desvanece.
“Habitación 218”, el tercer track de este disco, se remezcla de la mano de Warmth. Donde se conversa el carácter ambient original pero se le agregan algunos clicks que le dan un halo de misterio. Sin duda una interesante transformación se realiza aquí.
dot tape dot remezcla el cuarto y último track de este disco, "25 de Agosto, 3 A.M.". En ésta, la guitarra y sus efectos y la harmónica producen una atmósfera apacible que da paso hacia un estadío esperanzador hacia la luz.

In 2017 I wrote a review of the album “Seep” by David Cordero and David Romero aka dot tape dot from Spain, released on the Japanese label Plop. "Seep" exuded beautiful environmental melodies and microscopic notes.
"Hacia la Luz" continues the path of "Seep" but this time with the weight of melancholy that surrounds the entire album since it was composed from June 2018, when they gave to David Cordero's mother three more months of life, after fighting 17 years against cancer. At three o’clock in the morning on August 25, 2018, David stopped composing.
Argentinean artist Federico Durand performs a remix of the first song “El Eterno Atardecer”, with the name of “Un Pequeño Patio donde se pone el Sol”. In this one the small notes of a piano (a toy piano, perhaps) are clinking through a dreamscape.
The Sight Below performs a remix to the second track, "Sevredol", which along with the ambient keyboards, emerges and perseveres a minimal techno that after a few minutes fades away.
"Habitación 218", the third track on this album is remixed by Warmth. Where the original ambient character is arranged with some clicks that give it a haunted atmosphere. No doubt this is an interesting transformation that takes place here.
dot tape dot remixes the fourth and final track of this album, "August 25, 3 A.M.". In it, the guitar and its effects and the harmonica produce a peaceful ambience that gives way to a hopeful stage towards the light.
