Leslie Keffer ha estado activa hace más de dos décadas y con más de cuarenta discos publicados, ya sea en solitario o en colaboración con otros artistas como Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Rodger Stella, Sharkiface, entre otros. Además de apariciones en compilados. Fue miembro de las bandas Laundry Room Squelchers y Indian Jewelry.
La artista norteamericana despliega líneas de sintetizadores oscuros y caja de ritmos, junto a una espectral voz que le hace guiños a la synth-wave oscura, que también se devela en el arte de la carátula, en la que Keffer se cubre con un bello velo azul mientras observa fijamente el paisaje de un río.
“The Veil” que abre este disco transcurre en un ambiente inquietante acompañado de algunos ruidos como latigazos. En un tono vacilante de los sintes, “Conduit” se desenvuelve lentamente y en “In Tongues” su cántico tiene influencias de la música árabe. “Silicify” denota un ritmo dub aletargado que se acompaña por un canto que revolotea sobre el entorno. “Fauces” tiene un fuerte componente ruidoso de señales de radio, en tanto que “Sifting” propone un vuelo por el espacio con sus melódicas líneas sintéticas, junto a una capa de ruidos abrasivos. “Flourish” cierra un álbum que se siente emotivo con su canto angelical que se encumbra en lo más alto, mientras aflora el ruido disonante. Dos facetas siempre presentes en este disco.

Leslie Keffer has been active for over two decades and over forty releases, solo and in collaboration with other artists including Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Rodger Stella, Sharkiface, among others. The American artist displays dark synth lines and drum machine, along with a ghostly voice with nods to a dark synth-wave, which is also revealed in the cover art, in which Keffer covers herself with a beautiful blue veil while she is staring the landscape of a river.
"The Veil" that opens this album takes place in a disturbing environment accompanied by some noises such as whipping. In a hesitant tone of synths, "Conduit" slowly unravels whereas on "In Tongues" her singing has an Arabic music influence. “Silicify” denotes a sluggish dub beat that is accompanied by singing that flutters above the surroundings. “Fauces” has a strong noisy component like radio signals, while “Sifting” proposes a flight through space with its melodic synthetic lines, together with abrasive noisy layers. “Flourish” closes an album that feels poignant with its angelical singing soaring high, alongside dissonant noise. Two facets always present on this record.
