Vasco Trilla es un baterista, percusionista, improvisador, explorador sonoro catalán quien trabaja en solitario y en colaboración con otros artistas, grabando así más de 100 discos. Un músico multifacético que se desarrolla en distintos géneros y estilos como el jazz-rock, el rock progresivo, metal y música ambient. Trabaja en varios proyectos como Spice Of Life, Mars Williams & Vasco Trilla Duo, Phicus y Fish Wool.
“A Constellation Of Anomaly” consiste de diez tracks en el contexto de música improvisada que se centra en la ejecución de una amplia variedad de instrumentos de percusión tales como campanas planas rusas tocadas con objetos vibrantes, timbales con cajas de música de cuerda y aderezadas con un altavoz transductor, una vieja cítara golpeada como un tambor con dos tambores como resonadores, campanas redondas iraníes mezcladas con tiras de gamelán, espuma de poliestireno y triángulos, entre otros. Con esta amalgama de percusión, Trilla despliega una miríada de timbres, resonancias y vibraciones, junto a texturas rugosas, afiladas y metálicas que son producidas con el golpeteo a instrumentos, friccionando algunos de ellos con sus propias manos, o bien produciendo vibraciones con objetos. La creatividad de Trilla no tiene límites, buscando siempre expandir los límites del instrumento.

Vasco Trilla, Catalan drummer, percussionist, improviser, sound explorer, was one of the first percussion improvisers in the '70s, who works solo and in collaboration with other artists, thus recording more than 100 albums. He is a multifaceted musician who works in different genres and styles such as free-improvisation, jazz-rock, progressive rock, metal and ambient music. He also works on various projects such as Spice Of Life, Mars Williams & Vasco Trilla Duo, Phicus and Fish Wool.
“A Constellation Of Anomaly” consists of ten tracks in the context of improvised music that focuses on the performance of a wide variety of percussion instruments such as Russian Flat bells bowed played with vibrating objects, a timpani full of wind-up music boxes and spiced up by a transducer speaker, an old zither hit as a drum with two snare drums as resonators, Iranian round bells mixed with gamelan strips, styrofoam and triangles, among others.
With this amalgamation of percussion, Trilla displays a myriad of timbres, resonances, and vibrations, along with rough, sharp, and metallic textures that are produced by tapping instruments, rubbing some of them with his own hands, or else producing vibrations with objects. Trilla's creativity has no limits, always seeking to expand the limits of the instrument.
