Geins't Naït  es un grupo experimental francés activo desde 1986 cuya discografía consiste en 18 discos entre álbumes, EP's y singles. Laurent Petitgand es un compositor francés que produce su propia música y para bandas sonoras, cantautor y actor.

Desde 2014, cuando se creó la serie “Mind Travels” del sello francés Ici, d’ailleurs, Geins’t Naït y Laurent Petitgand han estado trabajando juntos, produciendo cinco álbumes, siendo “OLA”, el quinto de ellos. Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner, es un artista y compositor que trabaja en Londres. Desde 1991 desarrolla una intensa actividad en el arte sonoro, produciendo conciertos, instalaciones y grabaciones. Ha presentado sus trabajos en festivales de Europa, Estados Unidos, Asia, Sudamérica y Australia. 

"OLA" es un álbum que combina ambient electrónico y paisajes sonoros cinemáticos, creando un estado inmersivo, inquietante y ciertamente oscuro. Laurent Petitgand realiza en “Bra” una suerte de spoken-word utilizando a veces el efecto vocoder con atisbos a la electrónica de finales de los ’80, lo cual se funde con las grabaciones de conversaciones telefónicas, mezcladas con ruidos sucios y somnolientos por los que Scanner es bien conocido. “Mouche” muestra una atmósfera enrarecida, cautivante, somnolienta y definitivamente sombría que hace de este track uno de los más notables. En “Morpheng” continúan esos diálogos claustrofóbicos que se ahogan en sus propias palabras moribundas, en tanto “95-MW” cierra un disco convulso que pone al oyente en estado de alerta frente a los múltiplos estímulos inquietantes.

Geins't Naït is a French experimental group active since 1986 whose discography consists of 18 releases including albums, EP's and singles. Laurent Petitgand is a French composer who produces his own music and for soundtracks, also a singer-songwriter and actor.

Since 2014, when the “Mind Travels” series on French label Ici, d’ailleurs was created, Geins’t Naït and Laurent Petitgand have been working together, producing five albums, and “OLA” is their fifth. Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner, is an artist and composer based in London. Since 1991 he has been intensely active in sound art, producing concerts, installations and recordings. He has presented his work at festivals in Europe, the United States, Asia, South America and Australia.

"OLA" is an album that combines electronic ambient and cinematic soundscapes, creating an immersive, haunting and certainly dark mood. Laurent Petitgand performs in “Bra” a kind of spoken-word, sometimes using the vocoder effect with hints of late 80's electronics, which blends in with the recordings of phone conversations, mixed with the dirty, sleepy noises Scanner is well known for. 

“Mouche” shows a rarefied, captivating, sleepy and definitely gloomy atmosphere that makes this track one of the most notables. On "Morpheng" those claustrophobic dialogues that drown in their own dying words continue, while "95-MW" closes a convulsive album that puts the listener on alert against the multiple disturbing stimuli.
