Raúl Fernández Miró aka Refree o Raül Refree es un productor, cantante, músico y compositor catalán, quien ha compuesto la música para las películas "Un año, una noche" (2021) y "Entre dos aguas" (2018). Ha lanzado una veintena de discos en solitario y en colaboración con otros artistas y se ha hecho internacionalmente conocido gracias a que ha co-creado álbumes con la cantante pop española Rosalía, Lina_Raul Refree, Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Richard Youngs, Albert Pla, Rodrigo Cuevas, entre muchos más. 

Este es el segundo álbum para tak:til/Glitterbeat y posee lo que tiene todo buen disco, una dosis de experimentación pero la justa para mostrar la vena pensante e innovadora, evocar la nostalgia a través de los sonidos acústicos constitutivos del origen y lugar de donde viene Refree. Darle una aire barroco con las sesiones de piano y cuerdas con su aura melancólica e inquietante. Todo ello arropado de una banda sonora que nos hace imaginarnos escenas, situaciones como aquellas que describe sobre el concepto de este álbum según la nota de prensa: “El concepto del álbum surgió de la banda sonora que hizo de la restaurada obra maestra temprana del cine español ‘El pueblo maldito’ (Florián Rey, 1930). Según Refree: "La película trata sobre dejar tu lugar para ir a buscar una vida mejor y el vacío que surge de ello. Decidí que el disco tratará sobre diferentes tipos de vacío. Como dejar tu ciudad natal, pararte frente a una audiencia sintiéndote completamente solo o haciendo cosas tontas que realmente te dejan vacío. Explora la pérdida, el vacío que separa quiénes éramos y quiénes somos". ¿Será que cambiamos cuando hacemos diferentes interpretaciones en un tiempo y lugar distintos; otros olores, colores, nuevos paisajes y personas?

Sin duda este es uno de los mejores discos del año.

He has released about twenty solo albums and in collaboration with other artists, and has become internationally known thanks to the fact that he has co-created albums with the Spanish pop singer Rosalía, Lina_Raul Refree, Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Richard Youngs, Albert Pla, Rodrigo Cuevas, among many others.

This is the second album for tak:til/Glitterbeat and it has what every good record has, a dose of experimentation but just enough to show the thinking and innovative vein, evoke nostalgia through the acoustic sounds, constitutive of the origin and place where it comes from Refree. A baroque air with the piano and string sessions with its melancholic and disquieting aura. All wrapped up in a soundtrack that makes us imagine scenes, situations like those he describes about the concept of this album, that according to the press release: ... “emerged from his soundtrack for the restored early Spanish cinema masterpiece The Cursed Village (Florián Rey, 1930). In according to Refree: "The film is about leaving your place to go look for a better life and the emptiness that grows from it. I decided the record’s gonna be about different kinds of emptiness. Like leaving your hometown, standing in front of an audience feeling completely alone or doing lame things that really leave you empty. It explores loss, the void that separates who we were and who we are."

Could it be that we change ourselves when we make different interpretations in a different time and place; other smells, colors, new landscapes and people?

For sure “el espacio entre” is one of the best albums of the year.
