Este trío de artistas sonoros italianos compuesto por Gianmaria Aprile, en guitarra y efectos, Luca Mauri, guitarra y efectos, Luca Sigurtà, en sintetizadores y loops, editaron su cuarto disco en el sello alemán Midira Records. Además tienen EP’s y singles que son colaboraciones con otros artistas como Oren Ambarchi. Steve Roden y Yannis Kyriakides. 

La apertura con “Uncanny Valley” es un entramado de ritmos palpitantes, guitarras etéreas y texturas electrónicas donde el ambiente que se siente es sosegado pero con dosis de tensión hacia el final del track. Esta tensión  aumenta cuando arremete “Sorities Paradox” con su ruido trepidante de bordes oscuros que desprende esquirlas de distorsión que evocan atmósferas post-industriales. “Love in Henn na Hotel” comienza con algunas notas sintetizadas e inquietantes, cuyo persistente sonido entrecortado da paso a riffs de guitarra creando un bello climax entre el ruido y la armonía. Cierra este álbum, “Deepblue's Deep Dream” con delicados acordes de guitarra y vibraciones que resuenan en el vasto espacio, junto a un beat con delay que se esparce en nuestro alrededor. 

Luminance Ratio crea una música hipnótica con atmósferas envolventes que a veces tienen ribetes meditativas y ensoñadoras, otras sombrías y abrasivas.

This trio of Italian sound artists made up of Gianmaria Aprile, on guitar and effects, Luca Mauri, guitar and effects, Luca Sigurtà, on synthesizers and loops, released their fourth album on the German label Midira Records. They also released EPs and singles which are collaborations with other artists in the likes of Oren Ambarchi, Steve Roden and Yannis Kyriakides.

The opener “Uncanny Valley” is a network of throbbing rhythms, ethereal guitars and electronic textures where the atmosphere is almost calm but with a dose of tension towards the end of the track. This tension rises when “Sorites Paradox” lashes out with its dark-edged pulse-pounding noise that releases splinters of distortion that evoke post-industrial atmospheres. “Love in Henn na Hotel” begins with some haunting synthesized notes, whose persistent breathy sound gives way to guitar riffs creating a beautiful climax between noise and harmony. “Deepblue's Deep Dream” is the closing track of the album with delicate guitar chords and vibrations that resonate in the vast space, along with a delayed beat that spreads around us.

Luminance Ratio creates hypnotic music with enveloping atmospheres, at times meditative and dreamy edges, at times bleak and abrasive.
