Este es el sexto lanzamiento de Ekin Üzeltüzenci aka Ekin Fil, artista residente en Estanbul quien explora el ambient junto con el folk lo-fi y la electrónica, en el sello de vanguardia The Helen Scarsdale Agency que dirige el artista, músico y escritor colaborador en The Wire, Jim Haynes.

Ekin Fil con este disco retorna a sus primeras grabaciones en el sello Root Strata, donde tocó la guitarra acústica. Al respecto, nuestra protagonista señala: "Realmente siento que he vuelto a una época en la que estaba grabando canciones con una guitarra y un teclado cuando era muy joven. Es como abrazar a Ekin de ese período con mis ideas y estado de ánimo actuales. Es un homenaje, es una ola, un abrazo de mi presente a mi pasado...“

Con algunas notas del teclado y efectos, Ekin toma la guitarra, instrumento central en este disco y ejecuta sus acordes que acompaña con su voz de ensueño. La canción de apertura “Here” y la que le sigue, “Dora”, se mueven por las aguas del ambient, dejando en el aire la estela de la voz de Ekin. Desde aquí en adelante, vamos a escuchar los suaves acordes de guitarra, la susurrante voz de Ekin y melodías melancólicas. “Agora” conmueve por su delicadeza, mientras que “Hold Back” vuela por lo más alto con el estribillo y ese teclado que le hace un bello coro.

“Dora Gora” contiene canciones que tocan el alma por su sensibilidad y maravillosas melodías.

This is the sixth release from Istanbul-based artist Ekin Üzeltüzenci aka Ekin Fil, who explores ambient alongside lo-fi folk and electronica, on the avant-garde label The Helen Scarsdale Agency, run by artist, musician contributor to the The Wire, Jim Haynes.

Ekin Fil with this new album returns to her first recording on the Root Strata label in which she played de acoustic guitar. In this regard, she says, "I really feel like I've gone back to a time when I was recording songs with a guitar and keyboard when I was very young. It's kind of like embracing Ekin from that period with my current ideas & mood. it's an homage, it's a wave, a hug from my present to my past...“

With some keyboard notes and effects, Ekin plays the acoustic guitar, a central instrument on this album, that she accompanies with his dreamy voice. The opening song “Here” and the one that follows, “Dora”, move through the ambient waters, leaving in the wake of Ekin's echoes, while from here on, we will listen to the soft guitar chords, Ekin's whispery voice and melancholic melodies. “Agora” moves because of its delicacy, while “Hold Back” flies to the top with its refrains and the keyboard unfolds a mesmerizing chorus.

“Dora Gora” contains songs that touch the soul due to her sensitivity and dream like melodies.
