La artista, compositora, productora musical y multi-instrumentista noruega, residente en Estocolmo, anuncia su próximo single “Inspired by John Keats” a publicarse el 26 de este mes, que antecede a su cuarto álbum “The Garden” que se editará el 21 de octubre próximo también en el sello sueco Novoton. Sus discos abarcan distintos géneros como el art-rock, el synth-pop, pop alternativo y post-punk.

Katharina Nuttall también produce otros artistas y escribe bandas sonoras para largometrajes, documentales, televisión y cortometrajes. 

Su voz profunda y particular forma de pronunciar el inglés, bien cuidada y delicada, que tanto despliega en su canto como la suerte de spoken-word que vocaliza.

“Inspired by John Keats” con sus líneas de sintetizadores de bordes oscuros y las insinuantes notas del oboe, recorren las letras habladas de Katharina que me evocan (afortunadamente) a Laurie Anderson. Lo sorprendente y emocionante viene luego con un coro de angelicales voces féminas que alcanzan el cielo azul de la esperanza. En mi opinión esta es una de las mejores canciones del año. 

Katharina con su innegable sensibilidad reúne sus principales influencias musicales que logra plasmar en este single basado en un bello y esperanzador poema.

The Stockholm-based Norwegian artist, songwriter, music producer and multi-instrumentalist announces her upcoming single ‘Inspired by John Keats’ to be released on the 26th of this month, preceding her fourth album “The Garden” with released date on October 21st., also on the Swedish Novoton label. Her albums cover different genres such as art-rock, synth-pop, alternative pop and post-punk.

Katharina Nuttall also produces other artists and writes soundtracks for feature films, documentaries, television and short films.

Este single se inspira en algunos pasajes del poema “In a drear nighted December” del poeta inglés John Keats (one of the main English poets of Romanticism in the 18th Century). Her deep voice and her particular way of pronouncing English, well cared for and delicate that she displays both in her singing and in the kind of spoken-word that she vocalizes.

“Inspired by John Keats” with its dark-edged synth lines and flirtatious oboe notes run through Katharina's spoken lyrics that remind me (thankfully) of Laurie Anderson. The unexpected and thrilling comes next with a chorus of angelic female voices reaching the blue sky of hope. In my opinion this is one of the best songs of the year.

Katharina with her undeniable sensitivity brings together her main musical influences that she manages to capture in this single based on a beautiful and hopeful poem.
