El músico y productor Tobias Freund ha estado activo desde finales de los '80. En esa década participó en los grupos Vo Ese y Hypnobeat. A principios de los '90 trabajó con los alias Metazone, Zoon, Phobia y Pink Elln. Cerca de los 2000 formó Sieg Über Die Sonne junto a Martin Schopf, aka Dandy Jack. Una década más tarde junto a Max Loderbauer (Sun Electric) formaron NSI y fundó el sello Non Standard Productions. Odd Machine, un proyecto colaborativo junto a Ricardo Villalobos y Uwe Schmidt (aka Atom™). Con este último formó luego Atom™ & Tobias. 

Su proyecto más reciente es Recent Arts junto a la artista visual chilena Valentina Berthelon y el propio Freund en la música. Es "Hipertext" el tercer trabajo de este dúo.

Valentina Berthelon es una artista audiovisual chilena radicada en Berlín y que ha estado activa desde 1997 exhibiendo una prolífica carrera y nutrida producción visual, presentándose en Latinoamérica, Europa, Rusia y Japón. Trabaja en la intersección entre las artes visuales, la música y la tecnología. Influenciada por el mundo de la ciencia, Valentina crea piezas audiovisuales que evocan diferentes fuerzas de la naturaleza en relación con el cuerpo humano y la percepción. 

Las visuales de "Hipertext" junto a la electrónica de Freund crean una simbiosis entre los datos no lineales y el procesamiento de información a través de los computadores y la forma en que es procesada por el cerebro humano. La sucesión de imágenes generadas en segundos, se convierte en una abrumadora cantidad de información que recibimos y que no somos capaces de digerir y comprender. Las imágenes de Valentina Berthelon se organizan como un hipertexto que nos lleva a otros textos/imágenes relacionadas con la temática que nos ocupa. Es decir, cómo opera hoy Internet. En tanto, las atmósferas ambient de Freund junto a las suaves pulsaciones rítmicas, configuran un paisaje sonoro de la comunicación que recibimos a través de los distintos medios y la relación entre las computadoras y los seres humanos. Donde todo tiene respuesta y hace al ser humano cada vez más vulnerable. Como aquella que pregunta: cuándo sería el fin del mundo y el/la robot respondió dando una fecha y año exacto.

Musician and producer Tobias Freund has been active since the late '80s, participating in the groups Vo Ese and Hypnobeat. In the early '90s he worked under the monikers of Metazone, Zoon, Phobia and Pink Elln. Around 2000 he formed Sieg Über Die Sonne along side Martín Schopf, aka Dandy Jack. A decade later he and Max Loderbauer (Sun Electric) formed NSI and founded the Non Standard Productions label. Odd Machine took shape, a collaborative project with Ricardo Villalobos and Uwe Schmidt (aka Atom™). With the latter he formed Atom ™ & Tobias.

His most recent project is Recent Arts with the Chilean visual artist Valentina Berthelon and Freund himself in music. "Hipertext" is the third work of this duo.

Valentina Berthelon is a Chilean audiovisual artist based in Berlin who has been active since 1997 exhibiting a prolific career and extensive visual production, appearing in Latin America, Europe, Russia and Japan. She works at the intersection between visual arts, music, and technology. Influenced by the world of science, Valentina creates audiovisual pieces that evoke different forces of nature in relation to the human body and perception.

The visuals on "Hypertext" together with Freund's electronics create a symbiosis between non-linear data and information processing through computers and the way it is processed by the human brain. The succession of images generated in seconds becomes an overwhelming amount of information that we receive and that we are not able to digest and even understand. Valentina Berthelon's visuals are organized as a hypertext that leads us to other texts/images related to the topic at hand. That is, how the Internet works nowadays. Meanwhile, Freund's ambient atmospheres, together with the soft rhythmic beats, configure a sound landscape of the communication we receive through different media and the relationship between computers and human beings. Where everything has an answer and makes the human being more and more vulnerable. Like when the question comes on: when would the end of the world be and the robot responded by giving an exact date and year.
