Este es el quinto disco en el sello Fluid Radio del músico, compositor y artista visual inglés Tristan Shorr, aka Gideon Wolf, quien reside en Brighton. 

El origen de “Objects & Apparitions” fue una partitura para la película inglesa All Those Things, que se estrenó en 2020 y dirigió George Ravenscroft. Es la primera incursión de Tristan en la composición musical para un largometraje. 

Esta banda sonora comienza con “Sleeplessness” que es un diálogo entre violines y chelo que insinúa una situación expectante que genera cierta desasosiego, dentro del género de la música neoclásica con atisbos al minimalismo. Aquí las sonoridades despliegan elegancia y pureza en las notas de piano e instrumentos de cuerda. 

El tráiler de la película muestra una bella escena cuando un hombre es abordado por otros cuatro hombres vestidos de smokin que le quitan la ropa y que luego lo vuelven a vestir, en tanto que la sesión de cuerdas es ciertamente épica mostrando a este protagonista feliz como si estuviera volviendo a la vida. ¡Este momento se siente sumamente conmovedor! “With Eyes Closed” derrocha nostalgia a través de un loop, en tanto que “Objects & Apparitions” que da título al álbum, con sus acordes graves va tomando tonos más agudos como si fueran a representar la esperanza de algún encuentro o suceso. “Visions” exuda una bella melancolía, mientras que en “In the Wake” despierta la naturaleza, las personas se reconcilian y la vida sigue mejor. Esta banda sonora transmite este sentimiento positivo aunque no deja de haber cierto dramatismo, especialmente en aquellos silencios que surgen a lo largo de la película.

This is the fifth album on the Fluid Radio label by Brighton-based English musician, composer and visual artist Tristan Shorr, aka Gideon Wolf.

The origin of “Objects & Apparitions” was a score for the English film ‘All Those Things’, which was released in 2020 and directed by George Ravenscroft. It is Tristan's first foray into music composition for a feature-length film.

"Sleeplessness" the opener of the soundtrack is a dialogue between violins and cello that unfold an eerie atmosphere, within the genre of neoclassical and minimalism music. Here the sounds display elegance and purity from the piano notes and string instruments.

The movie trailer shows a beautiful scene when a man is approached by four other men dressed in tuxedos who take off his clothes and then put him back on, while the string session is certainly epic showing him happy as if he was coming back to life. This shot it feels supremely poignant! The piece “With Eyes Closed” wastes nostalgia through a loop, while “Objects & Apparitions” that gives the album its title, the lower tones expand, and as the track progresses, they become high representing hope of some eventual encounter or event. "Visions" exudes a beautiful melancholy, while in "In the Wake" nature awakens, people reconcile and life goes on better. This soundtrack conveys this positive feeling albeit there is still a certain drama, especially in those silences that emerge across the film.
