Mission to the Sun está formado por Christopher Samuels en sintetizadores, samples y programación y también es miembro de Ritual Howls y por Kirill Slavin en voz.

Este dúo propone atmósferas oscuras y expansivas donde aparecen el synth wave, el dark y el rock gótico.

El disco abre con “Take Me Back” con la voz grave de Slavin, junto a las fúnebres notas de teclado que precede a la canción que da título al álbum. El sentido épico a este disco lo da “Damaged” con la melancólica voz que canta a la nostalgia, junto a las líneas sublimes de sintetizadores hacen de esta, una canción notable que me evoca a Ian Curtis. 

“Mission To The Sun” es un intenso y oscuro track instrumemtal, en tanto que “Computers” con sus alas sintetizadas despliega una potente muralla ambiental. “In Your Eyes” es un manto hipnótico producido por los teclados que envuelven como si fuera un hechizo. Y para finalizar este disco “Three Crossings” sostiene un discurso que alude a que el mundo ha perdido su rumbo.

En la medida que escuchamos “Cleansed By Fire” nos vamos introduciendo en su mundo misterioso y su atracción a sus sombrías melodías.

Mission to the Sun consists of Christopher Samuels on synths, samples and programming, who is also member of Ritual Howls, and of songwriter Kirill Slavin.

This duo proposes dark and expansive atmospheres where synth wave, dark and gothic rock unfold into the space.

The opener "Take Me Back" presents Slavin's deep voice, along with the funereal keyboard notes precede the album title track. The epic approach of this release is provided by “Damaged” alongwith the melancholic voice that conjure-up nostalgia, together with the sublime synthesizers lines, make this a remarkable song that evokes Ian Curtis’s voice.

“Mission To The Sun” is an intense and dark instrumental track, while “Computers” with its synthesized wings unfolds a powerful ambient wall. "In Your Eyes" is an hypnotic cloak produced by the keyboards shrouding as if it were a spell. And to end the album, "Three Crossings" holds a speech that alludes to the fact that the world has lost its way.

As we listen to “Cleansed By Fire” we are introduced to its eerie world and their attraction for its dark melodies.
