Nuestro protagonista se encuentra en una reflexión respecto de la música que crea y emergen las preguntas (sin respuestas todavía) “¿Por qué estos sonidos? ¿Cuál es la atracción a estos sonidos? ¿Cómo llegué a estas composiciones y sus ubicaciones?". Chartier quiere que el oyente se acerque a sus composiciones de sonido como tales. Centrarse en la naturaleza sensorial en lugar de una narrativa o razonamiento explícito.

Chartier realiza un trabajo a través de sus profundas exploraciones sonoras minimalistas donde el espacio y los tonos soterrados, fomentan las percepciones del oyente. Los sonidos son imperceptibles y se acercan al silencio. Intentando responder a la pregunta ¿Cuál es la atracción a estos sonidos? que se hace Richard, me parece que el carácter enigmático de la atmósfera que crea, produce cierta tensión en la expectativa del oyente pues no sabe qué sonidos desplegarán sus alas. Frente a esta incertidumbre e incluso temor a lo desconocido, el oyente se siente atraído por el enigma que produce y las ondas sonoras que revoletean por nuestras cabezas como un mantra hipnótico.

"Interreferences" con sus drones infinitos y la sensación de espacialidad invitan a un viaje donde lo sensorial se despierta con fuerza en el oyente.

Our protagonist is in a reflection regarding the music he creates and questions (with no aswers yet) emerge like “Why these sounds? What is the attraction to these sounds? How did I arrive at these compositions and their placements?” Chartier wants the listener to approach his sound compositions as such, focus on sensory nature instead of a narrative or explicit reasoning.

Chartier works through its deep minimalist sound scans where space and underground tones, encourage listening perceptions. The sounds are imperceptible and approach silence. Trying to answer Richard Chartier’s question, “what is the attraction to these sounds?”, in my opinion there is an enigmatic nature of the atmospheres he creates, producing a certain tension in the expectation of the listener, as it does not know what sounds will deploy their wings. Faced with this uncertainty and even fear of the unknown, the listener is attracted by the enigma that the music unfold and the sound waves that revolve through our heads like a hypnotic mantra.

"Interreferences" with its endless drones and the feeling of spatiality invite to a trip where the sensory wakes up with force in the listener.
