El baterista y multiinstrumentista, compositor, productor y profesor de batería, el italiano Massimo Discepoli edita su último disco con su proyecto en solitario, bajo su propio nombre. Discepoli tiene una prolífica carrera musical desde 2004, con su proyecto el trío Vibrham, Nheap (en solitario) con los que compuso y tocó jazz, ambient, post-rock y electrónica. 

En 2009 funda el sello Acustronica en el que publica su propia música y de artistas de todo el mundo. También participó en formaciones como Nunun, el trío LED orientado a la creación de banda sonoras improvisadas para clásicos del cine mudo y el proyecto Nheap XP enfocado a la música electrónica de club. 

Desde 2003 imparte clases de batería en organizaciones privadas y públicas y construye su propio estudio. En 2014, funda un nuevo sello, DOF, especializado en música electroacústica y experimental. Con todo, Discepoli es un artista multifacético que con su batería de galopantes y suaves golpes, además de una variedad de instrumentos acústicos y otros conectados a algún procesador, se desenvuelve en el post-rock, jazz y ambient. 

"Last year, the next day" contiene ocho tracks donde la percusión juega un rol fundamental, dándole una rítmica creativa y lúdica al incorporar el sonido de instrumentos como el xilófono y similares, algunos de éstos hechos por el mismo. 

“Listening to the fog” - que también es un video y “Remains of a reflection” muestran la música aérea de Discepoli que flota por las nubes. En tanto el resto de los tracks, despliegan el trabajo de percusión de la mano de un maestro.

Este disco una buena parte del perfil de nuestro protagonista, con la habilidad de integrar distintos géneros musicales.

Italian drummer and multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and drum teacher, Massimo Discepoli publishes his latest album with his solo project, under his own name. Discepoli has a prolific musical career since 2004, forming the Vibrham trio, Nheap (solo), with whom he composed and played jazz, ambient, post-rock and electronica.

In 2009 he founded the Acustronica label in which he releases his own music and of artists worldwide. He also participated in groups such as Nunun, the LED trio aimed at creating improvised soundtracks for silent film classics and the Nheap XP project focused on electronic club music.

Since 2003 he has been teaching drumming in private and public organizations and built his own studio. In 2014 he founded a new label, DOF, specializing in electroacoustic and experimental music. All in all, Discepoli is a multifaceted artist who, with his drums of galloping and soft hits, as well as an array of acoustic instruments and others connected to a processor, unfolds post-rock, jazz and ambient.

"Last year, the next day" contains eight tracks where percussion plays a fundamental role, giving it a creative and playful rhythm by incorporating the sound of instruments such as the xylophone and the like, some of these made by itself.

“Listening to the fog” - which is also a video and “Remains of a reflection” shows Discepoli’s aerial music that floats through the clouds. Meanwhile, the rest of the tracks display the percussion work of a master.

This album is a good part of the profile of our protagonist, with the ability to integrate different musical genres.
