Aquí se unen dos grandes artistas del underground, Richard Pinhas, fundador de la legendaria banda francesa de los ’70, Heldon, figura clave del rock y su fusión con la música electrónica.  Junto a Stephen O'Malley, músico, productor y compositor de Seattle, Washington. Miembro de Sunn O))), entre otras bandas. Colabora en este disco Eric Beriot tocando sintes análogos.

Este es un viaje psicodélico consistente en tres tracks [“Quentin Compson 1” (2018), “Quentin Compson 2” (2019) y “Quentin Compson 3” (2019)], que transitan entre un convulso diálogo de ráfagas de guitarras y latigazos cósmicos del sintetizador. Las guitarras de Pinhas tejen sus agudos rasgueos y se enfoca también en los riff de guitarra más soterrados, donde la improvisación surge espontáneamente y es fuente de inspiración para crear nuevas notas llenas de distorsión y casos. O'Malley estuvo a cargo de las mezclas.

Los rasgueos de guitarras de Pinhas me evocan a Neil Campbell, a Makoto Kawabata, Anla Courtis y a Phil Todd, todos ellos músicos creativos y esenciales del underground actual.

Here are two great artists of the underground come together, Richard Pinhas, founder of the legendary French band of the '70s, Heldon, a key figure in rock and its fusion with electronic music. Along with Stephen O'Malley, musician, producer and songwriter from Seattle, Washington. Member of Sunn O))), among other bands. Eric Beriot collaborates on this album playing analog synthesizers.

This is a psychedelic journey consisting of three tracks [“Quentin Compson 1” (2018), “Quentin Compson 2” (2019) and “Quentin Compson 3” (2019)], which transit between a convulsive dialogue of bursts of guitars and lashes of cosmic synthesizers. Pinhas' guitars weave their sharp strums and also focuses on the more buried guitar riffs, where improvisation arises spontaneously as a source of inspiration to create new notes full of distortion and cases. O'Malley was in charge of the mixing.

Pinhas's strum guitars reminds me of Neil Campbell, Makoto Kawabata, Anla Courtis and Phil Todd, all of them creative and essential musicians of today's underground.
