Etrusca 3D lo componen los músicos y artistas audiovisuales, el italiano Francesco Cavaliere residente en Berlín y Spencer Clark quien está detrás de los proyectos Skaters, Monopoly Child Star Searchers y de sellos como New Age Cassettes y Pacific City Discs. Este último sello en colaboración Discrepant conducido por el multifacético portugués Gonçalo F. Cardoso, publican este álbum en septiembre pasado.

Los etruscos o tirrenos fueron un pueblo de la antigüedad cuyo núcleo geográfico fue la Toscana (Italia), a la cual dieron su nombre. Etrusca precedió al apogeo de la antigua Roma y eran politeístas.

El trabajo de Cavaliere básicamente está centrado en los vocales, en tanto que Clark propone sintetizadores planeadores, tambores tribales, sampleo de voces, todo ello en una atmósfera bizarra con un despliegue de sonidos espectrales, con guiños a los anuncios de trompeta que se realizaban en la antigua Roma y el medioevo. En varios tracks las voces se superponen y circundan en un loop que no sugieren una puerta de salida. Se asemejan a rituales en los que invocan a los dioses paganos.

Cavaliere y Clark nos transportan a la antigüedad, donde predominaban poderosos imperios y que hoy cobra cierta vigencia, donde el mundo creyéndose “amo” del universo, está doblegado de rodillas frente a ente invisible e insignificante.

Etrusca 3D is made up of musicians and audiovisual artists, the Italian Francesco Cavaliere residing in Berlin and Spencer Clark who is behind the Skaters, Monopoly Child Star Searchers and labels such as New Age Cassettes and Pacific City Discs projects. This latest label in collaboration with Discrepant led by multifaceted Portuguese artist Gonçalo F. Cardoso, released this album last September.

The Etruscans or Tyrrhenians were a people of antiquity whose geographic nucleus was Tuscany (Italy), to which they gave their name. Etruscans preceded the heyday of ancient Rome and they were polytheists.

Cavaliere's work is basically focused on vocals, while Clark proposes gliding synthesizers, tribal drums, voice sampling, all in a bizarre atmosphere with a display of spectral sounds, with nods to the trumpet announcements that were made in ancient Rome and the Middle Age. In several tracks the voices overlap and surround in a loop that does not suggest an exit door. They resemble rituals in which they invoke pagan gods.

Cavaliere and Clark transport us to ancient times, where powerful empires prevailed and which today takes on a certain validity, where the world believing itself to be the "master" of the universe, is on his knees facing an invisible and insignificant entity.
