“Coda” es un nuevo disco de Ekin Fil, aka Ekin Üzeltüzenci, artista residente en Estanbul quien explora el ambient junto con el folk lo-fi y la electrónica. Tiene seis discos editados, siendo los últimos cinco publicados en el sello de California, The Helen Scarsdale.

Abre “Dew-drops” con bellas notas melódicas del sintetizador que se expanden suavemente en el horizonte ambient. Una pieza magnífica, nostálgica y delicada en donde emerge el suspiro cautivador de Ekin. Luego “Coda” despliega elegantes notas de piano junto con la sugerente de esta artista turca que se mueve por aguas tranquilas, misteriosas y también inquietantes. En “Burn Up” su voz se alza hasta las nubes para contemplar desde lo alto la belleza de las atmósferas que crea desde el sigilo pero también con atisbos sutiles a formas más distorsionadas como aquella riff de guitarra en “Grand Illusion” que continua como telón de fondo en “On Sand”. Los mantos ambient que se repiten hasta el infinito en “Chronicle”, dan paso a algunas notas algo distorsionadas en “Blowing”, como si después de un tranquilo atardecer, vinieran sombrías nubes sobre el amanecer.

Todas las piezas de este álbum son perfectas para una banda sonora por su profundidad y aura envolvente.

“Coda” is a new album by Ekin Fil, aka Ekin Üzeltüzenci, Istanbul-based artist who explores ambient alongside lo-fi folk and electronics. He has six albums released and five of them are released on California, The Helen Scarsdale label.

The opener “Dew-drops” holds beautiful melodic synth notes gently expanding into the ambient horizon. A magnificent, nostalgic and delicate piece where Ekin's captivating sigh emerges. Then "Coda" unfolds elegant piano notes along with the dream-like vocals of this Turkish artist who moves through calm, mysterious and also disturbing waters. On “Burn Up” her voice rises up to the clouds to contemplate from above the beauty of the atmospheres that she creates from stealth but also with subtle hints of more distorted forms like that guitar riff on “Grand Illusion” that continues as a backdrop "On Sand". The ambient mantles that repeated endlessly on “Chronicle”, give way to some slightly distorted notes on “Blowing”, as if after a calm sunset, dark clouds were coming over the sunrise.

All the pieces on this album are perfect for a soundtrack because of their depth and enveloping aura.
