Conatus lo componen Delphine Dora and Žils Deless-Vēliņš aka Lunt. Delphine Dora es músico, compositora e improvisadora francesa que tiene una larga discografía incursionando en distintos géneros musicales. Ella toca el piano y utiliza su voz como instrumento, además de computadora, sintetizador, percusión, electrónica, trombón, entre otros.
Žils Deless-Vēliņš trabajó en varios proyectos experimentales como compositor, ingeniero de sonido y cofundador del sello francés We Are Unique! Records.
Tanto Dora como Deless se alimentan de distintas fuentes del arte como la filosofía, la poesía, el lenguaje y corrientes musicales, combinándolas con la espacialidad física, el entorno y la materialidad del sonido.
En “Empty Spaces” el tiempo transcurre lentamente, las notas de piano cuelgan por el espacio, los acordes de la guitarra se suspenden en el aire, sin embargo el vaivén produce cierta tensión en el diálogo - a veces inconexo – entre los sonidos. Las voces a penas emergen por algunos momentos, mientras en otros, aparece la voz melodramática de Gilles.
Es interesante en “Empty Space II”como la guitarra sostiene cierta distorsión como un drone, en tanto que las notas de piano se esparcen como si estuvieran jugando. 
La música de Conatus tiene inesperadas formas, desde lo clásico, a lo vanguardista, desde el silencio a momentos de tensión.

Conatus is comprised of Delphine Dora and Žils Deless-Vēliņš aka Lunt. Delphine Dora is a French musician, composer and improviser who has a large discography venturing into different musical genres. She plays the piano and uses her voice as an instrument, in addition to a computer, synthesizer, percussion, electronics, trombone, among other instruments.
Žils Deless-Vēliņš works on various experimental projects as a composer, sound engineer and co-founder of the French label We Are Unique! Records.
Both Dora and Deless feed on different sources of art such as philosophy, poetry, language and musical currents, combining them with the physical spatiality, the environment and the materiality of the sound.
On "Empty Spaces" time passes slowly, piano notes hang in space, guitar chords hang in midair, yet the swaying produces a certain tension in the dialogue - sometimes disjointed - between the sounds. The voices barely emerge for some moments, while in others, the melodramatic voice of Gilles appears.
It's interesting on "Empty Space II" how the guitar sustains some distortion like a drone, while the piano notes are scattered as if they were playing.
Conatus' music has unexpected forms, from classical to avant-garde, from silence to moments of tension.
