Originario de Bristol, Reino Unido Matt Elliott trabaja bajo su propio nombre y su alias electrónico Third Eye Foundation.
El cantante y compositor saca su octavo disco en el sello francés Ici d’ailleurs en el que se incluye los arreglos del multiinstrumemtista David Chalmin, Gaspar Claus en chelo y Jeff Hallam en bajo.
En "Farewell To All We Know" la figura de un crooner se asoma con la voz cancina y los acordes nostálgicos de la guitarra clásica de Elliott, evocan al legendario poeta, cantante y compositor canadiense Leonard Cohen y porqué no al egipcio-francés Georges Moustaki.
Las letras en estas diez bellas canciones hablan de la esperanza y la desesperanza, de la luz y la oscuridad, del amanecer y el ocaso.
La música de Elliott me lleva más a un pasado que al presente. Un pasado nostálgico, de cierta inocencia, en comparación a un presente que se ensaña contra la naturaleza.

The singer-songwriter releases his eighth album on the Ici d’ailleurs French label, which includes arrangements by multi-instrumentalist David Chalmin, Gaspar Claus on cello and Jeff Hallam on bass.
In "Farewell To All We Know" the figure of a crooner peeks in with the canine voice and nostalgic chords of Elliott's classical guitar, evoking the legendary Canadian poet, singer and songwriter Leonard Cohen and why not Egyptian-French song-writer Georges Moustaki.
The lyrics in these ten gorgeous songs speak of hope and hopelessness, of light and darkness, of sunrise and sunset.
Elliott's music takes me more into the past than the present. A nostalgic past, of a certain innocence, compared to a present that is vicious against nature.
