Aquí se unen dos reconocidos exponentes de la música underground. Se trata de Gareth Davis quien toca el clarinete bajo y el músico electrónico Scanner aka Robin Rimbaud.
“Footfalls” consiste en dos largas piezas de más de 18 minutos cada una. El que abre el álbum “Towards The Door”, es un track intrigante en donde el clarinete bajo despliega ondas sonoras ondulantes que abrazan todos los contornos del ambiente, mientras las sinuosas líneas del sintetizador inician un viaje por los corredores de la Kosmiche Musik dejando pulsos palpitantes suspendidos y reveberando en el espacio.
“Smokefall” parte con unas voces que se escuchan a lo lejos, el clarinete bajo se mueve como las olas en un mar tranquilo que van tomando su propia forma a una más torcida, acompañadas de líneas de bajo sostenidas y abstracciones electrónicas ambientales.
Este es un trabajo donde ambos artistas se complementan bien, las extendidas reverberancias del bajo clarinete de Davis se amoldan y de intercalan perfectamente a los mantos de ambient expansivos de Scanner.

Here we are with two renowned exponents of the underground music come together. This is Gareth Davis who plays the bass clarinet and electronic musician Scanner aka Robin Rimbaud.
“Footfalls” consists of two long pieces of more than 18 minutes each. The opener "Towards The Door", is an intriguing track where the bass clarinet unfolds undulating sound waves that embrace all the contours of the environment, while the sinuous lines of the synthesizer start a journey through the corridors of Kosmiche Musik leaving pulses throbbing suspended and reberverating in space.
“Smokefall” starts with recording voices from the distance, the bass clarinet moves like waves in a calm sea that take their own shape to a more twisted one, accompanied by sustained bass lines and ambient electronic abstractions.
In this work both artists complement each other well, where the extended reverberations of Davis's bass clarinet mold and interspersed seamlessly into Scanner's expansive ambient mantles.
