hackedepicciotto está compuesto por destacados artistas del underground como son Danielle de Picciotto quien se mudó de Nueva York a Berlín en 1987, para convertirse en la cantante principal de la banda Space Cowboys, co-iniciadora de Love Parade, colaboradora de Ocean Club con Gudrun Gut. Alexander Hacke es un miembro original y bajista de la seminal banda Einstürzende Neubauten.
Ambos están casados y desde 2010, “The Current” es el cuarto álbum desde que la pareja ha optado por un estilo de vida nómade que viene acompañado por un discurso político/social crítico.
En opinión de Hacke este nuevo álbum tiene un mayor ritmo para ponerse en pie y en movimiento, “lejos de la depresión y la desesperanza”.
“The Current” hace una simbiosis entre el rock y la electrónica, con vestigios de haber transitado por el post-punk y el drone. La guitarra de Hacke muestra por momentos algunos riffs de rock/metal, así como la voz de Danielle de Picciotto y sus incursiones con violín le dan un aire sinfónico con flirteos al gótico.
Su visión crítica del sistema actual de sociedad se plasma en la música del dúo con una banda sonora inquietante compuesta por una espesa atmósfera.

hackedepicciotto is comprise of renown underground artists such as Danielle de Picciotto who moved from New York to Berlin in 1987, to become the lead singer of the band Space Cowboys, co-initiator of Love Parade, collaborator of Ocean Club with Gudrun Gut . Alexander Hacke is an original member and bassist of the seminal band Einstürzende Neubauten.
They both are married and since 2010, "The Current" is the fourth album since the couple has opted for a nomadic lifestyle that is accompanied by critical political / social speech.
In Hacke's opinion, this new album has a greater rhythm to get up and move, "away from depression and hopelessness."
"The Current" makes a symbiosis between rock and electronics, with traces of having traveled through post-punk and drone. Hacke's guitar shows at times some rock/metal riffs, as well as the vocal of Danielle de Picciotto and her violin forays give a symphonic air with shades to Gothic.
Their critical vision of the current society system is reflected in the duo's music with a disturbing soundtrack composed of a thick atmosphere.
