Esta es una colaboración entre dos renombrados artistas que se reúnen para entregar una pieza de 34 minutos de duración. Gareth Davis toca el clarinet bajo y Duane Pitre se encarga de los sonidos electrónicos.
Gareth Davis ha tocado con Bernhard Lang, Peter Ablinger, Toshio Hosokawa y Jonathan Harvey, ha hecho de solista en sinfónicas de Europa y ha actuado en vivo junto a Neue Vocalsolisten y JACK Quartet, los improvisadores Elliott Sharp y Frances Marie Uitti y artistas electrónicos como Robin Rimbaud y Merzbow.
Duane Pitre es un compositor y músico experimental estadounidense. Su trabajo comprende instrumentación electrónica y / o acústica. Ha presentado e interpretado sus obras en vivo en Estados Unidos, el Reino Unido y Europa. Más de 100 músicos diferentes de todo el mundo han participado en las actuaciones de sus obras.
En “Nótt” se aprecia un drone permanente, en el trasfondo musical, que permite que el bajo clarinete recorra sinuosos caminos que tanto adopa formas melódicas abstractas como desafinadas.
Este disco invita a que sea escuchado con atención pues los matices son inesperados e envolventes.

Duane Pitre is an American composer and experimental musician. His work includes electronic and / or acoustic instrumentation. He has presented and performed his works live in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. More than 100 different musicians from all over the world have participated in the performances of his works.
On "Nótt" it can be appreciate a permanent drone in the musical background, which allows the bass clarinet to travel winding paths that both adopts abstract melodic shapes as well as out of tune.
This album invites the listener to be listened carefully because the nuances are unexpected and immersive.
