Este disco reúne al francés Aries Mond y al fotógrafo documental ruso Dmitri Markov. IIKKI es el complemento audiovisual a la música que realizan algunos artistas del sello francés Eilean Rec. “Cut Off” se edita en dos formatos: Copias limitadas en CD y en vinilo y por un libro, en este caso de 96 páginas, a color, finamente impreso. El formato musical conversa con el libro y viceversa. Son dos unidades que se complementan entre sí. Este es el segundo álbum de Mond, siendo el primero editado en Eilean rec. en 2018. Aries Mond toca varios instrumentos y es en el piano donde focaliza su trabajo y así queda plasmado en “Cut Off”, un trabajo íntimo con pequeñas y delicadas notas de piano, grabaciones de campo que incluye voces de niños, voz femenina alterrada, viento, golpes a botellas de vidrio y arreglos electrónicos. Todo ello hace que su ambiente sea acogedor. Los tracks “Cut Off” y “Shift” se distiguen del resto del álbum por su mayor base rítmica con suaves percusiones que es una faceta interesante que muestra Aries Mond en este disco. The two units are a complement to each other. This is the second album of Mond, being the first one published in Eilean rec. in 2018. Aries Mond plays several instruments and it is in the piano where he focuses his work and this is reflected on "Cut Off", an intimate work with delicate piano miniatures, field recordings including children's voices, twisted female voice, wind, blows to glass bottles and electronic arrangements. All this makes a dream-like ambience. The tracks "Cut Off" and "Shift" distinguished from the rest of the album by its greater rhythmic base along with soft percussions which is an interesting side that unfurls Aries Mond in this record.
