“Terre, Poussière” (Tierra, Polvo) es la última entrega de ‘t Gerius, un músico belga que ha sido publicado en respetados sellos como Laaps, Line y Lost Tribe Sound. 

Este álbum que consiste en diez pistas es un trabajo recursivo que se desenvuelve en varios loops y que en cada giro develan un nuevo significado. Es como la metáfora de las varias capas que tiene una cebolla que, al deshojarla vamos encontrando nuevos colores, olores y texturas. El ritmo es pausado y va tomando forma sobre una base que contiene unos pocos sonidos electrónicos y acústicos que van tejiendo bellas melodías a partir de sampleos a partes orquestadas, capas sintetizadas ambientales, breves frases de piano y ruidos. Predominan los momentos nostálgicos que se sienten emocionantes, como en “Away Away”, o las melodías edificantes de “May You Resonate” y el carácter barroco de “In Purple”. “Orange Lakes_Hilltops” parece la introducción a un himno grandilocuente, en tanto que “To Hold A Heavy Heart” que cierra el disco, posee una sensibilidad nostálgica que invita a la reflexión y a recordar los gratas memorias.

“Terre, Poussière” (Earth, Dust) is the latest installment from ‘t Gerius, a Belgian musician who has been released on respected labels such as Laaps, Line and Lost Tribe Sound.

Consisting of ten tracks, this album is a recursive work that unfolds in various loops and that at each turn reveal a new meaning. It is like the metaphor of the various layers that an onion has that, when we peel it, we find new colors, smells and textures. The rhythm is slow and takes shape on a base that contains a few electronic and acoustic sounds that weave beautiful melodies from samples to orchestrated parts, ambient synthesized layers, short piano phrases and noises. Nostalgic moments that feel exciting predominate, as on “Away Away”, or the uplifting melodies of “May You Resonate” and the baroque character of “In Purple”. "Orange Lakes_Hilltops" seems like the introduction to a bombastic anthem, while "To Hold A Heavy Heart" that closes the album, has a nostalgic sensibility that invites reflection and recall fond memories.
