El productor y músico electrónico finlandés Sasu Ripatti aka Vladislav Delay lanzó en su sello Rajaton, la serie "Hide Behind the Silence" que consiste en la publicación de cinco EP's.

Ripatti es uno de los mayores referentes de la música electrónica que trabaja y ha trabajado con muchos seudónimos como Bright People, Conoco, Hellbent, Luomo, Luukas Onnekas, Ripatti Deluxe, Sasu Ripatti, Sistol, Uusitalo. Tiene más de 80 discos publicados en solitario y proyectos colaborativos.

Acerca de esta serie, Ripatti argumenta:“Se trata de capturar momentos en vivo, sin mucha premeditación o edición. Más intuitivo y crudo, aunque el resultado final (para mí) se siente y suena bastante introspectivo y tranquilo”. Relativo a su música, Ripatti señala que “Oh, esta vez me suena bastante tranquilo y jugando con el espacio si no con el silencio”.

Abre este disco “Wallfacer” que consiste en un diseño sonoro en el que prevalece una percusión entrecortada, e incluso con breves segmentos de silencio, mientras se repite un pulso persistente, como si fuera parte del engranaje de una máquina, como un robot que sigue una rigurosa rutina. Le sigue ”Three-Room Problem” con pequeños chasquidos sintéticos formando una atmósfera enrarecida y brumosa. Cerrando el disco con “Silencio” muestra distintas percusiones en diferentes tempos y en el trasfondo se ciernen capas que se superponen entre sí creando un ambiente abstracto.

Vladislav Delay despliega complejos pulsos sin un patrón rítmico, junto a inesperados sonidos recortados y atonales que configuran formas oblicuas y texturas crudas.

The Finnish producer and electronic musician Sasu Ripatti aka Vladislav Delay released on his Rajaton label, the series "Hide Behind the Silence" which consists of the publication of five EP's.

Ripatti is one of the greatest references in electronic music and has worked with many monikers such as Bright People, Conoco, Hellbent, Luomo, Luukas Onnekas, Ripatti Deluxe, Sasu Ripatti, Sistol, Uusitalo. He has more than 80 releases, solo and collaborative projects.

Regarding the series Ripatti argues: “It’s about live moments being captured, not much premeditation or editing. More intuitive and raw, even though the end result (to me) feels and sounds quite introspective and calm.” Regarding the music, Ripatti points out: “Oh, this time to me it sounds quite quiet and playing with space if not silence.”

This album opens with “Wallfacer” which consists of a sound design in which a broken percussion prevails, and even with brief segments of silence, while a persistent pulse is repeated, as if it were part of the gear of a machine, like a robot that follows a rigorous routine. Follows ”Three-Room Problem” with small synthetic clicks forming an eerie and misty atmosphere. Closing the album, “Silencio” shows different percussions at different tempos and in the background layers hover that overlap each other creating an abstract ambience.

Vladislav Delay displays complex pulses without a rhythmic pattern, along with unexpected clipped and atonal sounds that form oblique shapes and raw textures.
