Este es el segundo disco del multi-instrumentista, compositor y productor de Cádiz, David Cordero luego de su anterior “Winter Landscape” para el sello Archives. En esta oportunidad la discográfica canadiense Polar Seas publica en el pasado mes de julio su nueva entrega "And Stillness Came".

El título de este disco “Y vino la quietud” describe muy bien la atmósfera plácida que se respira en cada uno de los tracks que tiene como invitados al compositor, guitarrista y productor gaditano, quien fuera pionero de la música New Age en España y con más de 30 discos publicados. También participan Miguel Otero, quien ha colaborado anteriormente con David y el brasileño Carlos Ferreira.

Los colchones ambient a base de líneas atmosféricas del sintetizador junto con arreglos de cristalinas guitarras y sutiles grabaciones de campo (cantos de pájaros, susurros) hacen de este disco un lugar perfecto para permanecer en el con toda calma, sin apuros. "And Stillness Came" ha de escucharse con atención pues hay matices y sonidos que se insinúan y que resuenan a través de sus exquisitos timbres y brillos que resplandecen en la simple belleza.

This is the sophomore album of Cadiz’s multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer David Cordero, after his previous “Winter Landscape” published by the Archives label. Now the Canadian imprint Polar Seas released last July his new album ‘And Stillness Came’. 

The title of this album describes very well the placid atmosphere that is breathed in each of the tracks that have as guests the composer, guitarist and producer from Cádiz, Suso Saiz who was a pioneer of New Age music in Spain and with more than 30 records published under his belt. Miguel Otero also participates, who has previously collaborated with David and Brazilian Carlos Ferreira.

The ambient cushions based on atmospheric synthesizer lines together with arrangements of crystalline guitars and subtle field recordings (bird chirps, whispers) make this album a perfect place to stay calmly, without rushing. ‘And Stillness Came’ must be listened to carefully because there are nuances and sounds that insinuate and resonate through its exquisite timbres and brightness that shine in a simple beauty.
