Este es el octavo disco de Mondkopf aka Paul Régimbeau, artista residente en París, quien también trabaja bajo el seudónimo de Extreme Precautions y junto a Guillaume Heuguet, fundaron el sello Paradisum en 2011.

En “Spring Stories” se percibe un mayor enfoque al sonido de la guitarra que de los sintetizadores. A diferencia de sus anteriores discos, ahora Régimbeau realiza incursiones al doom que evocan a bandas como Sunn O))) o Thisquietarmy. 

En este álbum colaboran Frederic D. Oberland en duduk (flauta de origen armenio) y saxofón alto y Tony Buck de The Necks, en la batería. 

Este álbum arranca con “Elevation” con ráfagas de riffs que estremecen por su potente resonancia. Aún con este ruido emerge en una melodía en “Phased Harmony I” que se sigue desarrollando en el siguiente track “Through The Strom, In Your Arms”.

Gruesas capas de sintetizadores rodean a “Transmission” destilando hacia el final de este track, una muralla de ruido de guitarra que despliega todas sus alas.

La atmósfera inquietante de “Phased Harmony II“ en donde la guitarra con sus sucesivos acordes con bordes distorsionados, es acompañada por la flauta duduk que crea una ambientación mágica que acaricia la cultura del Medio Oriente que también destila en "Continuation" que cierra este álbum. La estruendosa guitarra realiza un diálogo con un duduk omnipresente, junto a los golpes aleatorios que se desparraman y en la medida que progresa el track, van in crescendo creando un final glorioso.

Mondkopf invita al oyente a una sombría atmósfera con guiños al doom y un seductor dark-wave.

This is the eighth album by Mondkopf aka Paul Régimbeau, a Paris-based artist who also works under the moniker of Extreme Precautions and together with Guillaume Heuguet, founded the Paradisum label in 2011.

In “Spring Stories” there is a greater focus on the guitar sound than on the synthesizers. Unlike his previous albums, Régimbeau now makes forays into doom that evoke bands like Sunn O))) or Thisquietarmy.

Frederic D. Oberland collaborates on this album on duduk (original Armenian flute) and alto saxophone and Tony Buck from The Necks on drums.

This album begins with “Elevation” with bursts of riffs that shake with their powerful resonance. Even with this noise it emerges in a melody on "Phased Harmony I" that continues to unfold on the following track "Through The Strom, In Your Arms".

Thick synthesizers layers surround “Transmission” distilling towards the end of this track, a wall of guitar noise that spreads all its wings.

The eerie atmosphere of "Phased Harmony II" the guitar with its successive chords with distorted edges, is accompanied by the duduk flute that creates a magical setting that caresses the culture of the Middle East that also unfurls in "Continuation" that closes this album. The thunderous guitar makes a dialogue with an omnipresent duduk, along with the random drumbeats that scattered, and as the track progresses, the sound goes in crescendo creating a glorious ending.

Mondkopf invites the listener into a gloomy atmosphere with nods to doom and a seductive dark-wave.
