Otro nuevo lanzamiento del prominente sello de California The Helen Scarsdale Agency, que incluye en su roster a Jim Haynes (dirige el sello y escribe para ‘The Wire’), Ekin Fil y Stelzer/Murray, entre otros artistas, edita “Poised at the Edge of Structure”, album debut de la danesa Linn Hvid aka Ana Fosca. Ella es una activa artista que realiza performances en Suecia, Dinamarca y Alemania y tiene como referentes al padre del Existencialismo, el danés Søren Kirkegaard, la poeta norteamericana Sylvia Plath, el cineasta ruso Andrei Tarkovski, la filósofa alemana y sobreviviente del Holocausto, Hanna Arendt, el Accionismo Vienés. El enfoque de escucha de la compositora francesa, Eliane Radigue. Las películas del cineasta austríaco de culto, Kurt Kren y la escritora francesa y activista feminista, Simone de Beauvoir.
Ana Fosca en su gesamtkunstwerk (una obra de arte en la que se combinan poesía, música, danza y artes visuales) expresa su rabia por la agresividad que rodea a la sociedad actual, por lo que los sonidos son abrasivos, distorsionados y drones profundamente oscuros. Se ciernen ráfagas de ruido, algunos de ellos metálicos que parecen chasquidos, otros como la fricción entre materiales y objetos filosos, además de la voz alterada de Ana Fosca, cuyos bordes distorsionados, configuran una atmósfera brumosa y asfixiante.
Ana Fosca logra plasmar con su música su visión de una sociedad en decadencia como la actual.

The new release from prominent California label The Helen Scarsdale Agency, which includes in its roster Jim Haynes (he runs the label and writes for 'The Wire'), Ekin Fil and Stelzer/Murray, among other artists, publishes “Poised at the Edge of Structure”, the debut album by Danish Linn Hvid aka Ana Fosca. She is an active artist who performs in Sweden, Denmark and Germany and has as intellectual references the father of Existentialism, the Danish Søren Kirkegaard, American poet Sylvia Plath, the Russian filmmaker Andrei Tarkovski, German philosopher and Holocaust survivor, Hanna Arendt, Viennese Actionism. The approach to listening of French composer, Eliane Radigue. The films of cult Austrian filmmaker Kurt Kren and French writer and feminist activist Simone de Beauvoir.
Ana Fosca in her gesamtkunstwerk (a work of art in which poetry, music, dance and visual arts are combined) expresses her anger at the aggressiveness that surrounds nowadays society, whereby the sounds are abrasive, distorted and deeply dark drones. Bursts of noise hover, some of them metallic, others like the friction between sharp materials and objects, in addition to the altered voice of Ana Fosca, whose distorted edges configure a misty and suffocating atmosphere.
Ana Fosca definitely manages to capture with her music her vision of a society in decline like the one we’re living in.
