La artista multidisciplinaria Hannah Zhalih Mickunas está radicada en el norte de la costa de California y luego de la publicación de su disco "Inrushes” en 2018 por Eilean Rec, vuelve tres años más tarde con un nuevo disco para el sello francés Laaps.

Su voz delicada se despliega esta a través de 19 canciones en las que predomina el folk y suaves acordes de guitarra, a excepción de algunas pistas con pulsos rítmicos y torcido sintetizador como “Shadow From The Sky”, “Rags” y “Trouble”, o el exquisito dub envolvente y relajados downtempo de “Like A Wave” y “Seventeen”, además de los suaves beats de “Water”. Canciones con unos pocos arreglos de guitarra y electrónica brillan con sus luces nostálgicas en "Tuesday Alabama", "Sad" o "The Wrong Hour”.

“They Call” es un álbum prolijo y creativo que toca el alma con sus bellas melodías e imprescindibles para llevárselas a un viaje placentero.

The multidisciplinary artist Hannah Zhalih Mickunas is based in Northen California coast and after the publication of her album "Inrushes" in 2018 by Eilean Rec, she returns three years later with a new album for the French Laaps imprint.

Her delicate voice unfolds through 19 songs dominated by folk and soft guitar chords, with the exception of some tracks with rhythmic pulses and crooked synth like “Shadow From The Sky”, “Rags” and “Trouble”. or the exquisite enveloping dub and relaxed downtempo of “Like A Wave” and “Seventeen”, in addition to the soft beats of “Water”. Songs with a few arrangements with guitar and electronics shine with their nostalgic lights "Tuesday Alabama", "Sad" and "The Wrong Hour".

"They Call" is a neat and creative album that touches the soul with its beautiful melodies and uttlerly essentials to take them on a pleasant journey.
