Antonella Porcelluzzi es una poeta italiana de cine y música. El germano Michael Schaffer es pintor, músico, poeta y realiza música ambiental, experimental y escribe ensayos filosóficos y esotéricos.

Este disco según la nota de prensa está inspirado en: “Los Estados Intermedios o Libro Tibetano de los Muertos es un texto que describe los estados de conciencia y percepción que ocurren durante el período desde la muerte hasta el renacimiento. Se supone que el estudio de su vida o la recitación del capítulo principal por parte de un lama durante la agonía o después de la muerte ayudan a liberar el ciclo de reencarnaciones, o al menos a obtener una mejor reencarnación”.

El propósito de este disco es la “Liberación al escuchar” y que la voz de Antonella Porcelluzzi y la música de Michael Schaffer permitan esta liberación, apoyada en arreglos de oscuros sintetizadores ambientales. Con ello el escucha logra acceder a un estado hipnótico, penetrante. Hay gemas como “The Womb” con la voz sugerente y sombría de Porcelluzzi y una épica melodía que recuerda a Diamanda Galás y su obra maestra “The Divine Punishment”.

“The Secret Circle” lo inscribiría entre los mejores discos del año.

Antonella Porcelluzzi is an Italian film and music poet. German Michael Schaffer is a painter, musician, poet and craft ambient, experimental music and writes philosophical and esoteric essays.

According to the press-release this album was inspired by “Intermediate States or Tibetan Book of the Dead is a text describing the states of consciousness and perception that occur during the period from death to rebirth. The study of his life or the recitation of the main chapter by a lama during the agony or after death is supposed to help release the cycle of reincarnations, or at least to obtain a better reincarnation.”

The purpose of this album is "Liberation by listening" and that the voice of Antonella Porcelluzzi and the music of Michael Schaffer allow this liberation, supported by arrangements of dark ambient synthesizers. With this, the listener achieves access to a hypnotic, penetrating state. There are gems like “The Womb” with Porcelluzzi's dark, suggestive voice and an epic melody reminiscent of Diamanda Galás and her masterpiece “The Divine Punishment”.

"The Secret Circle" will inscribe it among the best albums of the year.
