En 2007, la banda de rock psicodélico se formó en Moscú por el guitarrista Artem Galkin y el baterista Pavel Eremeev. 

El grupo lanzó tres álbumes de estudio con Artem Galkin (“Ud”, “Afghan Music House Party”, y “Unsharp Mask”) más un álbum de versiones (“Karpet Birch”). 

En 2013, Artem dejó el grupo y Usssy se disolvió y en 2015 Pavel vuelve a refundar la banda con un nuevo baterista, Sergei Bolotin.

En 2018, Usssy lanzó el álbum Voyage en Koolarrow Records y su propuesta de rock ruidoso, vuelve a incorporar la influencia oriental. Es así como para este quinto disco “Po Krugu” (“En un Círculo”), colaboran Jalil Shahnaz en târ (Laúd) persa, Amjid Malang tocando rabab, Thai Mor Lam en bajo y el miembro original Artem Galkin, en tanbur kurdo.

Las afiladas guitarras de USSSY muestran un rock crudo y desenfadado que evocan el rock oscuro de Savage Republic, con sus influencias orientales y desenfrenados remolinos de sintetizadores.

Este álbum muestra al dúo ruso haciendo una interesante mezcla entre psicodelia y las notas melódicas a través de la percusión y cuerdas orientales.

In 2007 the psychedelic rock band was formed in Moscow by guitarist Artem Galkin and drummer Pavel Eremeev.

The group released three studio albums with Artem Galkin ("Ud," "Afghan Music House Party," and "Unsharp Mask") plus a cover album ("Karpet Birch").

In 2013, Artem left the group and Usssy disbanded and in 2015 Pavel re-founded the band with a new drummer, Sergei Bolotin.

In 2018, Usssy released the album Voyage on Koolarrow Records and his loud rock proposal, re-incorporates the oriental influence. This is how for this fifth album “Po Krugu” (“In a Circle”), Jalil Shahnaz collaborates in Persian târ (Lute), Amjid Malang playing rabab, Thai Mor Lam in bass and original member Artem Galkin, in Kurdish tanbur.

USSSY's razor-sharp guitars feature raw, laid-back rock evoking the dark rock of Savage Republic, with its oriental influences and unbridled synth swirls.

This album shows the Russian duo making an interesting mix between psychedelia and melodic notes through percussion and oriental strings.
