La artista australiana y residente en Berlín Julia Reidy debuta en Editions Mego con “Vanish”, su cuarto álbum desde 2016, además de dos singles editados.

Este álbum consiste en dos largos tracks que comprenden una amalgama de sonidos armónicos compuestos por una guitarra de doce cuerdas, sintetizador y líneas vocales. 

En “Clairvoyant” los punteos de la guitarra son destellos que se esparcen por sus cristalinas aguas que brillan y encandilan, junto con sus ecos y voces manipuladas y ruidos de objetos encontrados. 

En “Oh Boy” se percibe cierta tensión con algunas líneas de teclado y percusión programada que lentamente despliega sus alas con los acordes llenos de frescura formando un círculo armonioso, mientras Reidy canta como telón de fondo, a veces como murmullos vocales.

Julia Reidy tiene un sólido sentido de la armonía cautivando al oyente e invitándolo a un plácido viaje.

Berlin-based Australian artist Julia Reidy makes her debut on Editions Mego with “Vanish,” her fourth album since 2016, plus two released singles.

This album consists of two long tracks that comprise an amalgam of harmonic sounds made up of a twelve-string guitar, synthesizer, and vocal lines.

On “Clairvoyant” the guitar picks are flashes that spread through its crystalline waters that sparkle and dazzle, along with its echoes and manipulated voices and noises produce with found objects.

On “Oh Boy” there is a certain tension with some keyboard lines and programmed percussion that slowly spreads its wings with the chords full of freshness shaping a harmonious circle, while Reidy sings in the background, sometimes as vocal mutterings.

Julia Reidy has a strong sense of harmony captivating the listener and inviting him/her to a placid trip.
