Strafe F.R. fue fundado por Bernd Kastner y Siegfried M. Syniuga en Düsseldorf en 1979. Desde entonces han editado trece discos que se enmarcan en    el campo de la música de vanguardia y la música conceptual. El nombre completo de esta formación es Strafe Für Rebelión que se significa algo así como "Castigo por la rebelión".

En noviembre de 2019 fue editado por Touch "Shadow Position" que contiene cuatro tracks que en palabras de los miembros de Strafe F.R. son: “cuatro ventanas diferentes que miran a la calle desde nuestro estudio en Düsseldorf y sus diferentes capas de sonido”.

Cuatro temas con cuatro historias que me transportan a oscuras películas cyberpunk. “Sea testigo de la ciudad eléctrica y la casa de máquinas. Strafe F.R. está sentado dentro de la caja de fusibles. El chirrido eléctrico de la noche. El zócalo en el que dormimos…” Es lo que escribe esta formación en la nota de prensa. 

Como telón de fondo tenemos un sonido post-industrial con pulsaciones rítmicas y pesados bass drums. Junto a latigazos eléctricos y esquirlas abrasivas que reproducen los sintetizadores. Todo esto bajo un manto de oscuras atmósferas y bleeps que circulan como espirales. En una línea donde prevalecen los beats con atisbos al baile es lo que trae el tema que da título a este LP y que viene a ser la excepción al carácter experimental del resto del álbum.

Strafe F.R. was founded by Bernd Kastner and Siegfried M. Syniuga in Düsseldorf in 1979. Since then they have released thirteen albums that are in the field of avant-garde music and conceptual music. The full name of this formation is Strafe Für Rebellion which means something like "Punishment for rebellion.”

In November 2029 Touch released “Shadow Position” album that consist in four tracks that in words of Strafe F.R. member there are “4 different windows to look out from our studio in Düsseldorf into the street and their different layers of sound.”

Four tracks with four stories that conjure me up to dark cyberpunk movies. “Witness the electric city and the power house. Strafe F.R. is sitting inside the fuse box. The electric chirp of the night. The socket in which we sleep.”, is what this formation writes in the press release.

As a backdrop we have a post-industrial sound with rhythmic beats and heavy bass drums. Along with electric lashes and abrasive chips that synthesizers reproduce. All this under a blanket of dark atmospheres and bleeps that circulate like spirals. In a line where the beats prevail with glimpses to dance is what brings the track that gives this LP its title and which comes to be the exception to the experimental character of the rest of the album.
