Old Castle es un trío formado por Robin Storey (Rapoon, Zoviet France), Robert Pepper (Pas Musique) y Shaun Sandor (Promute). Los tres se conocieron en 2011 cuando actuaron en Brooklyn en el Cafe Orwell y desde entonces han seguido colaborando editado varios discos como dúos (Ultramail Productions, Alrealon Musique, Zoharum). Esta es la primera vez que trabajan como un trío y su resultado en el álbum homónimo que despliega electrónica experimental, con ribetes industriales y psicodélicos. En general los sonidos de guitarra, teclados y percusión están envueltos en loops con espirales interminables. El sonido es penetrante y punzante que se interna en la psiquis, lo que hace que el oyente flote por paisajes cargados de confusión y trepidantes bombos (“Trial in the Hoodoos”), así como transitar por corredores hipnóticos como lo muestra “Cowboy Hood Dreams” y el trip minimalista que propone “Sing - ing, til my life ends” y el psyche rock de “10 Skulls” con un riff de guitarra persistente mientras revolotean a su alrededor elásticas notas del sintetizador. “Old Castle” reúne a tres experimentados músicos que apuestan por experimentar y develar una rica paleta sonora. https://alrealonmusique.bandcamp.com/album/old-castle-alrn103 Guillermo Escudero Noviembre 2019		Old Castle is a trio formed by Robin Storey (Rapoon, Zoviet France), Robert Pepper (Pas Musique) and Shaun Sandor (Promute). The three met in 2011 when they performed in Brooklyn at Cafe Orwell and since then they have continued collaborating with the release of several albums as duos (Ultramail Productions, Alrealon Musique, Zoharum). This is the first time they work together as a trio and its result is the homonymous album that displays experimental electronics, with industrial and psychedelic edges. In general guitar, keyboard and percussion sounds are wrapped in loops with endless spirals. The sound is penetrating and sharp deploying psyche which makes the listener float through soundscapes full of confusion and thrilling drums (“Trial in the Hoodoos”), as well as transit through hypnotic corridors as shown by “Cowboy Hood Dreams” and the minimalist trip that proposes “Sing - ing, til my life ends” and the psyche rock of “10 Skulls ”with a persistent guitar riff as elastic notes of the synthesizer hover around them.
